This is the only actual hotel for 25klms yet they seem to be a hit and miss sometimes you go there and food service is fantastic this visit it was dismal food took and hour and was lukewarm and drinks had more ice than water will be taking the drive to gladstone in future it will be worth it.

been there a couple of times with friends to dine. it was a very busy looking environement and no surprise, it took a while to get our order. the food was alright, but definetely without the wow factor. food seemed to had been plated on a rush and somewhat not attractive. the portions of the main dishes are really generous, thus guys were really pleased with that hehe. overall, it`s not a bad place i guess and very sutable for casual occassions or a very simple meal (in those cases when your fridge at home is desperately empty hehe).

The pub is not consistent with meals and service. One night you can have a meal and it is superb and tasty, next time the meal is either cold or not edible. I understand that chefs have to have trainees aswell but they should be guided and meals checked before being served.

The 'Pub' has become a bit of a hit and miss in the town at the moment. On one occasion we visited and majority of people were sick a few hours after eating. The Manager was great though and we received a 300 voucher. So next time we used voucher the meals were superb and no one was ill. Just wish they would have a set way of meals being prepared.

food can be expensive and not always great. the beer is not cheap but its a nice place to go out with friends and family.

A lovely place for a drink or a meal sitting out watching the coal ships waiting to come into port.

Excellent meal value for money great service. Did not have to wait long for a meal. staff very friendly. would go back again anytime. meal was well presented and hotel had a veg / salad bar.

We had to wait more than 45 minutes for our meals. The restuarant wasn't busy. When we received our meals two out the four meals were wrong and the staff really didn't want to do anything to sort it out. Generally none of the staff seamed too happy to be there.
