It was a quick fix but could have been difficult as it happened the day before new Year and we had to turn hot water off.
It was fixed the day after new year so very happy with the quick response.
I did try to do a DIY but couldn't get parts and Josh and Jose cam , fixed it in an hour and peace of mind returned.

My rental needed to have the oven looked at. II contacted them explained the problem. They were in touch with tenants. Same day quote for oven replacement. Within 5 days they oven was replaced. Reasonable cost with out any hassle. Highly recommend..

3 times prior to this job I had used smartfix and found their workmanship and professionalism 5 star.
However on this occasion the tradesman were 4 hours late and did a very poor job. The cabinet makers were in a rush to install the custom made cabinet and it wasn't installed to expectations. Honestly could of done a better job myself.
The plumber glued my under counter sink to the top of the counter and didn't have tools to complete the job. Then they have the nerve to invoice and charge the full price quoted.
Will now have to pay other tradesmen to fix up and complete the work they so royally stuffed up

I trusted SmartFix to fix a leaking shower based on their assurances of expertise, a 7-year warranty, and a long-lasting solution. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory, and their response to my concerns has been dismissive and disappointing.

I clearly mentioned the issue with tile movement during the quoting process, yet the quote provided failed to address the root cause of the problem. Within three days of their work, the leak reappeared, proving that the job was not properly assessed or resolved.

When I raised my concerns, SmartFix refused to take accountability, claiming the leak was due to the construction of my shower and not their work. This response is unacceptable. If the construction was an issue, it should have been identified during their assessment before they quoted me. Instead, they provided false assurances and charged me for a solution that didn’t work.

The quote itself was outrageously overpriced. SmartFix charged me $2,200 for a job that should have cost no more than $800. Making matters worse, the quote was for a full grout replacement, but they only regrouted the shower flooring and left the rest undone. Despite not completing the full scope of the work, I was still charged the full amount.

To add insult to injury, SmartFix insists on full payment immediately after the job is completed, regardless of whether the work has been proven effective. This leaves customers with no recourse if issues arise soon after, as they already have your money.

I was also promised a 7-year warranty and was assured that cracks or leaks would be fixed at no extra cost. Now they’re denying responsibility and directing me to seek advice from the Ombudsman rather than offering a resolution. This is not the behavior of a company that stands by its work or values customer satisfaction.

SmartFix presents itself as an expert in this field, but my experience suggests otherwise. They performed incomplete work, grossly overcharged me, failed to fulfill their promises, and have shown no willingness to address their oversight.

I would not recommend SmartFix to anyone seeking reliable service, fair pricing, or a company that honors its guarantees. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

I have used Smartfix Electrical a few times now. And once again they were prompt, professional and courteous. We had a big job, lots rewiring and installations, the team arrived early and got the job done. The finished result was excellent. 5 Stars
I would definitely recommend Smartfix.

Organised an Electrician to come out and do a safety check as we were selling the property. Quoted $99. Electrician did a quick 5 min check and then proceeded to tell me the cost will now be $890 ; earth rod was buried and RCD switch needed to be replaced as it was now redundant.
I got another quote for the same work to be completed for $380!!
What an absolute joke! I wonder how many poor people are getting ripped off by this company. Be ware they might charge no call out but will get you with over pricing!!!!!

I commend Lewis the plumber for his friendly, efficient service this morning. He didn't talk down to me and explained what the problem was. I will be contacting Smartfix again in the future as I have several other plumbing problems. Thank you again Lewis, as I said to you when you were leaving - 'You're a legend!'

Needed 5m of colorbond fence moved forward by 3m at the back of my property. Needed this done quite urgently. Called and explained job to Smart Fix. They said no problem and booked in for 3 days time. Yesterday they called to say the person was available that day instead. I called back (when you call back it always rings out and then someone calls back after), wasn't available anymore so we kept it booked for today. Just had call that woke me up at 7am to say that no one would be coming now, they got confused and they actually don't do these kinds of handyman tasks to do with fencing. I've lost 2 days on an urgent job, no recommendation for another company. No care at calling at 7am (up all night with sick child). Arrange and spoke to someone about the job and confirmed they can do it and then 3 days later called to say they don't do that kind of job. Very confusing company. Rather unprofessional.

Scare tactics for high price. Do not pursue work with these people, you will remember this review.

I accepted their quote and the work was completed.

I organised some fixes for a house I'm renovating. Came over for a quote and said I needed a new switchboard on top of the other works (several powerpoints moved). The total of 4250. I talked to another electrician today and he says it was unnecessary. They pressured me to do this upgrade with the fear of fire and electric shock. The price was very high, and they did it all that day. Yes I accepted the quote, but I was absolutely manipulated.

On top of that, the job was done terribly. I attached some photos for reference to my google review, this was their method of connecting the new outlet down from the roof.

The same electrician has said that the grounding rod was not replaced despite that being an item on the ticket, just reconnected and resprayed.

There are problems with this company's pricing, and their predatory sales tactics. They pressure you hard to install unnecessary things, and thing you didn't ask for. Then they do a garbage job.

I've changed this review a few times, because they keep posting misleading replies to my reviews. I absolutely DID get this job done by them I absolutely DO regret it.

Business reply will say they do high quality work, another way of saying they do the same thing everyone else does for a huge markup. And yet, here are photos of their high quality work.

Engaged them to install a hot water system and to do stove commissioning repairs where the stove wasn't getting enough pressure.

They assessed the issues with the 2 systems and promptly quoted to resolve all issues.

When completed, the main issue with the stove was not resolved. Not enough pressure to run all plates.

They refused to acknowledge that there was an install issue and demanded payment or they would cut off the services to the property, claiming it was an appliance issue and it was my problem and I had to pay.

The manufacture came out to review the new appliance and informed in writing that it was an install issue. Back to Smartfix to resolve...

Throughout this complex install issue, Smartfix management were rude, unwilling to meet in the middle, demanding, insulting and threating.

They claim to promise the below:

"Respect you, your home, and belongings"
"Ensure that you are happy with the work completed"

Failing on all fronts:
This has been the worst experience with Smartfix.
Thier pricing was not upfront or clear.
They provided no suitable options to investigate or resolve this tricky issue.
They had no respect towards engaging me or the situation.

They came back to investigate the job and found that it was a supply issues, as I had original stated.

From my experience, I will not be using them again and don't recommend them, if something goes wrong, they just want their money with no care about your circumstances. In the end, it was Smartfix who failed to deliver on the originally fixed price job and all of their promises.

Apart from a fairly horrendous hourly fee, their free visit and quote was an apprentice ( possibly), who took a picture of the job. The plumbers then turn up and despite the photograph still have to go out and buy new parts which probably only needed a washer (remember you are paying for this time) . They came back with the parts and a take away coffee They then mark up the price of the parts 100% on retail price not even on trade price.

After a bumpy start John iand Tom turned up, completed large amount of work, they where polite and highly skilled. Left my wife and myself more than happy to recommend smartfix

I recently had an electrical fault and contacted Smartfix electrical to attend.The emergency callout fee was $220 which was not noted on their website. I discovered one of the outdoor power point was taking in water causing the fault.

The tech attending confirmed this. He didn't have a replacement on board but I had a new one which he was happy to use but said he didn't have screws... which i found surprising, but was happy to book another service to have the power point replaced. I rebooked to have the power point replaced as it was for the hot water system. This ended up costing a total of $655.

He then advised that the switchboard has water damage with rust and corrosion and required replacement. Also that some of the circuits needed to be RCD protected. He quoted $3900 and said that I could claim this through my home insurance.

Given my concerns with this information I had another electrician attend for a 2nd quote and he advised there was nothing wrong with the switch board and was compliant ( 2008 build )
I contacted Smartfix via phone and email to speak with the electrical manager but was constantly fobbed off.

This company does not live up to their website as upselling, scaremongering and dishonesty seems to be their core values.

I hope my experience will save someone else from being scammed in the future.

If you need work of a very high standard doing quickly by qualified staff then call the guys at Smartfix, same day service and reasonably priced, genuinely nice staff and very professional.

On a Friday evening, the power in my investment property unexpectedly tripped. Despite my attempts to reset the circuit breaker, it continued to trip. Consequently, I contacted an electrician from SMARTFIX.

Upon arrival, the electrician did not provide any explanation or diagnosis. Instead, he declared the property to be very dangerous, turned off all the power, and left. He claimed that he could not proceed further due to being unable to contact the property owner, despite my phone not ringing and me being unaware of any attempts to contact me.

The following Monday, I received a bill for the visit. Assuming the issue had been resolved, I paid the bill. However, a few days later, my tenant informed me that the electrician had done nothing except turn off all the power. After I had already paid the initial bill, I received a new quote from the electrician demanding $4,000 to replace all the circuit breakers.

Unwilling to accept this, I contacted another electrician who identified the source of the fault and resolved the issue without needing to replace the entire electrical panel within 1 hours. The power in the property has since been functioning perfectly.

I believe the first electrician's actions demonstrate a serious lack of professional integrity and competence. Instead of diagnosing and fixing the fault, he opted for an unnecessary and costly solution without making any real effort to identify the actual problem.

I request that your department investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure that no other consumers fall victim to such unprofessional conduct.

Please be wary of this company. I was quoted $1100 to have conduit run for the NBN technician to complete his work. Then Apon inspecting my meter box, I was told that it needed to be upgraded. total cost of having some conduit run, $4500.

I canceled and was refunded my deposit. Thank you.

AUD 1'428 for 2 hours. The workmanship was of poor quality, and final result was not as discussed.

The person that quoted on the job (Nick) was arrogant and obnoxious, hanging the phone up on me after I queried the work.

Absolute rubbish service for a premium price and I do not understand how people accept this.

Great to get a plumber out to give a free quote with no call out fee. All I needed was to locate a water leak on my property. Absolutely blown away to be informed the standard rate was $698/hour. Needless to say I sent them on their way! Might consider the absorbitant pricing if maybe they had a no find no pay clause but to give away 700 bucks an hour and they don't find the leak would be shear stupidity!

This company has the worst costumer service I’ve ever had to deal with. I’ve tried to contact them on multiple forums, email, phone and FB messenger with no response. They have installed the inverter for our air con in the wrong position and have ghosted me sonce. They also claim you can isolate the aircon but if you do this with the door closed it whistles so if I’m asleep in one room and my husband is watching tv I can’t put the aircon on in the bedroom. Completely overpriced, I wish we had looked at other quotes!

Very polite team. They arrived on time and walked me through each step of the way. Happy to use them again :)

I wanted to put in writing my concerns in regards to the inspection and quote provided from a site visit on Tuesday 9th May.
The person who did the inspection spoke to me on the phone after visiting the property and explained that there was a problem with the thermostat and informed "you just can't get parts for this Unit" and something along the lines of I really searched everywhere. I was informed my best option was a new heat pump to the tune of $5070.00
I explained I needed a second opinion. I received another text and a phone call asking if the quote could proceed which felt a bit pushy.

I've since had another reputable company (Solar Doctor Perth) inspect the unit and was promptly told it was a very standard part and not a problem to replace. I have since got the unit up and running at a cost of $300.00 instead of the $5070 that was pushed from one of your team

It's now obvious that the claim 'parts can't be found' is a complete falsehood and leaves me unable to draw any other conclusion than that your company is operating outside of what I would consider to be ethical.

Did a really sub standard work and nothing what was quoted for the job. Now demanding payment for the work done. Should be ashamed trying to rip off elderly people.

I wouldn't recommend Smartfix they charge an extraordinary high cost for work and with me I gave a deposit to them for a new toilet ( only got the bowel) and connecting up plumbing in kitchen they wanted $6100 for it so after considering it I decided not to go with them they had put toilet bowl in I paid a deposit $2244 I asked for it back minus for putting the toilet in and they asked me for $768 on top of my deposit for the work I refused to the extra and ask for my deposit back minus 768 for the toilet and they refused my advice is be very careful dealing with them I'm not exactly sure high they sleep at night

Had my hot water system replaced , these two tradesmen were excellent at listening and explaining what needed to happen , but also when a hiccup occurred with finding the hot water pipe , I suggested what might be the problem because of work that had previously been done on the property .
They listened to what I had suggested ,could be the issue and the problem was solved . Go team . The thing is when you go onto someone property ,you don’t know the history of the scope of works that has previously been carried out . Something that could have taken a very long time to solve ended up much quicker , because they didn’t discount me or my thoughts on the problem .
It was a win win .
I think communication is paramount to a happy ending , so I would ask for FRAZER and BRANDYN to quote your job at least that way you will totally understand what’s to happen and the cost .
Nothing is worse than feeling like your not heard
and then feeling uncomfortable wondering if your going to receive what you discussed .

I can only imagine how many other negative reviews have been removed by them through similar bullying tactics."
