Well, it is a mixed bag with Telstra. While they have completely screwed up on 3 house moves and cost me thousands and keep me on hold for days and weeks at a time frustrating me to all hell. They are always polite and happy to help, they have also eventually come through and been fair with any compensation. While I wish all internet services were better and more reliable I don't see an truely better options or services in the market place and that is why I would recommend others and stay with Telstra. Furthermore, Mobile deals, service/s and coverage are far better than others we have looked at or tried and we continue with them happily even though if Telstra were a person we at times would like to hurt them. Looking forward to investments in improvements.

Worst telstra shop ever. We spent atleast an hour or more waiting + sign up for a phone new contract. The sign up completed but the shop did not have the phone in stock and they needed to order for us..which is fine with us... the consultant said that it will only take 2 days and they will notify us once the phone arrive in the shop. 2 days later we did not receive any phone calls or messages about the phone so the wait last 1 week, Within those waiting period we received an email about delivery tracking of the phone which clearly state that someone has already sign and the phone is delivered to the shop, but still no calls or message from telstra chadstone. So we decided to go and see them, so we were at shop asking this [redacted personal identifier] consultant about the contract and the phone whereabouts and we showed them the email as well. the [redacted personal identifier] consultant started asking if we received a message from them if the phone is ready or not, and obviously the answer is "no" so we told the consultant that we have been waiting for a week now. the consultant started to check the computer and went to see the manager (more waiting) and for about After 15-25 so minutes, she came out and telling us that they cannot find the phone and they may have to check again and let us (sounds like more waiting) but what i'm so pissed about is when she said to us "don't come back until you receive a notification from us" - i'm like wtf is this how you treat your customer? sorry but that is really poor choice of words for a customer service, a "sorry for the inconvenience or delay would be nice" for someone chasing and trying to follow their mistakes.
Anyways, more waiting and waited for another 2 more weeks then decided to go back to the shop. So the same process, we tell them the story and the consultant we spoke to doesnt know what happened to the phone and said that they will lodge a tracking to trace the IMEI of the phone and they will let us know (again more waiting)
About another 2 weeks we have not heard back from the telstra chadstone shop so we decided to give them another visit (we like chaddy >.<)
the same consultant we spoke to last time and he recognize us and appears to know what was happening. so we sat down and he started explaining that they cant somehow find the phone whereabouts (something fishy here) and he started offering us another phone saying that they have this and that in stock (the same specs but different color) so my partner and i started think and talking about it whether we gonna and get a different color and all that.
the consultant started to walk around, checking the computer and asking the a lady [redacted personal identifier]
the consultant came back and explain that the contract has been deleted/removed which he thinks could be why "the phone has not delivered" and starting offer us a new contract and on top of that it will be 4$ higher monthly fee and one of features which 2gig extra data is not included - and we are like "[redacted offensive language]" - the worst possible feeling ever, wasted plenty of time when we should be enjoying a new phone, and the most bad services we ever received from a company that is on top. that for me is -1start. Worst telstra shop ever! lot of cons inside that shop, [redacted inflammatory comments] to provide a customer service.

and to make matter worst, we received a 11$ bill for something we dd not use and even touch - i'm like wtf!
whoever owns this telstra shop - you better wake up man, something fishy going on there.

While deciding on the stars above I was actually trying to find ways to add on stars but unfortunately failing to find any redeeming features. I don't particularly like to one-star a business so two is about as low as I go. My issue is that I have been trying to port my number across for 5 months now and have visited the Chadstone shop 4 times. So far I have spent $32, I have a total of 3 sim cards and still have not had my number ported over. Often the feeling of service you get when visiting there is of someone who would rather you not be there and that hopefully you will give up on their product and stop bothering them. Well, fortunately for them, they have succeeded in this instance. Goodbye Telstra. On the plus side, I guess they are an operational telecommunications outlet after all.

amazing service which I was not expecting AT ALL!! All my preconceptions about telsra service melted away as they solved my problem and sorted out everything calmly while attending to other clients at the same time. Very knowledgeable, surprisingly so.
