Living in a rural area, I have found Telstra really makes a genuine effort to ensure our coverage and if there are any problems they are happy to apply credits to our bills. One cannot really ask for more.

it is a very good shop . the staff there are very professional and they explain the product very detail. They are very nice and always have the smile on face. they are willingly to help customer and the customer are feeling very comfortable during shopping.

I asked to get my prepaid telstra phone unlocked, I waited on phone for 15min, got transferred 3 times, to different people, to only be told that I had to wait 3 to 5 working days to get a number to unlock my TELSTRA phone because they have to get the number off the manufacturer. I asked if I could get the number direct, there answer was NO i cant talk to them, telstra have to get it. Before it was resolved I got cut off, I rang back to the complaints section, all they could do was transferr me back to the person who cut me off. They didnt care! They are also going to charge me $27.50 to unlock it, even though I have to waitup to 5 days, I dont care, told them If im paying!, and they locked it!, it should be done straight away. But NO!!!

These guys are really bad at customer service!!! You call the service centre and you always get the runaround. Try and disconnect a service with them and you will be told you have an outstanding amount (even though the bill has just been paid!!) this has happened to me twice so I am thinking that this is a standard thing with them!! Use another carrier if you can - really not worth the bother using them!

The staff at this store were extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. They refused to assist me, and instead gave me a phone number to call. The person on this phone was disappointed that the Pitt St store could not resolve the issue face to face. I left the store on bad terms with the staff member, who behaved as a child fighting in a playground. I tried to phone them every day for a week following, with not a single answer or return to my message.

I completely understand where you are coming from, Telstra have put me through the ringer this past fornight also. The customer service in the Pitt Street store and even their complaints department is non-existant! Shockingly bad!

That's ridiculous. Funnily enough I've had better customer service with their overseas call centre.

I've been with Optus, Vodafone and Telstra. Telstra is by far the most expensive, but definitely the most reliable. I recently joined Telstra on a small plan with the iPhone 5. I called customer service to order the phone and they were very helpful. I've noticed that their sales department is Australians while their billing inquiries are handled offshore. Not a big problem for me though, all my encounters with service have been okay. If you're not looking to pay full price, I'd recommend looking around for any Telstra deals.

I found the staff to be very unfriendly and rude in this shop. The phone plans have not changed since the 90's. Very old fashioned.

A bit of a let down really - spent over one hour on the phone trying to make one change to my account, and ended up being put through to the same person on 3 different transfers.
Products are good, but they ask too high a premium for them.

Look, they have some competition and they have their faults, but overall I feel they offer the best service around. Yes their phone system is SO frustrating and they are pretentious, but I still get the best service overall.

Telstra is not the best phone service around. Connections are not good, speed is okay and price is not the best. Also find their telemarketing annoying. But still, would continue using.

Unfortunately when we moved house we had to change hour telecommunications provider for home and internet. We had been away from Telstra for a number of years and coming back to them was a less than pleasant experience. It took 2 weeks to connect the telephone and in the process disconnected the telephone of a neighbour, we are still waiting 4 months later to be put on the correct plan, still waiting for our bills to be combined, still waiting for the credits owed to us to be applied and was told internet was not available. Unfortunately I have to say that if I had a choice I would go with another carrier for our telephone and yes we have connected to another isp for our internet.
