Very popular place for your Malaysian fix. Service is okay considering the wait staffs are all very busy.

Hidden in a small alleyway, this place is renowned for its Laksa. Hainanese Chicken is also one of the classics and must try (you get the choice of thigh or chicken breast). Can get really busy during lunch times on weekdays as the places are filled with office workers. The portion of meal on their lunch special menu is slightly smaller, so you have to watch out. Overall, excellent classic Singaporean food with ok customer services.

Another overpriced place. Food is okay, but maybe the dishes we've tried tended to be kinda expensive. This is one of the few places, though, that does get spiciness/heat in certain dishes right. I can't remember what it was, but we ordered something once that had everyone gasping, haha. Perhaps the rendang?

great food and service here tonite! three of us shared chefs special calamari it was sooo rich and tasty, Nasi goreng very authentic with egg on top yum and cha kway tae?? I think lol beautiful and smoky. pork spring rolls and curry puffs ok but we didn't need it as the serves are big! I have to say I really enjoyed the food really tasty and authentic. the hainese chicken looked beautiful wish I'd ordered it. I hvnt had the noodles before but they remind me a bit off pad se ewe with that smoky wok flavour. service was fine had to get their attention but who cares. all that with jasmine tea (leaves not bags lol) was $70. not bad at all. I really wanted the vela can kang kong but it was $16 and it seemed a bit expensive but smelt great. I'll definitely be back is love to try the laksa and hainese chicken. ps try the calamari in the chefs specials yum!!!

I was here with my girlfriends for lunch and we loved it. We had Hainan Chicken Rice with ginger, char kway teo, Chicken satay skewers and Nasi goreng to share and we loved the food. The portion size was good and we like the staff as well. Will be going back.

Located on George Street in Parramatta, we walked past by chance and noticed quite a few people lurking outside . Once seated I noticed they offered quite a few of my fave singaporean/ malaysian dishes . We opted for nasi goreng and the hainan steamed chicken rice. I wasn't expecting such a stong chiili hit with the nasi goreng but it was enjoyable if you like spicy food, which I don't mind. The hainan chicken was steamed perfectly, boneless and accompanied with a nice fragrant rice, two dipping sauces and complimentary chicken broth soup, it was really enjoyable to eat without the heavy feeling of being overly full.

We did notice the laksa was a generous serving and quite popular amongst the locals. Lovely and hearty food cooked well and reasonable prices. The staff don't really seem on the ball at times and can be hard to get their attention when needed, it is quite a busy restaurant and will book ahead for next time.

I've been here couple of times but not impressed enough to go all the way to parramatta to try some nice Singaporean food there, but what I found was just some decent ordinary food,
The place is packed, very noisy and definitely at the lower end of the decoration scale,
totally not what i was expected. I know some place that are much better than this. service is poor i have to say.

Really tasty Malay/Singapore dishes. It's a small place, the aroma inside is amazing. The service may not be the best as they could be really busy all the time. Definitely need to book on weekends.

We were recommended here by a friend of ours for a great Malaysian cuisine with not so great service, and he hit the nail on the head with this one! The food was really good - probably some of the best Malaysian food I've had in quite a while however the service is a little shocking, very thriving and bustling and I can see why. Most just come here for the food, not the service or ambience!

I've been to this place with family and friends. We had a 25% off voucher from the Entertainment book, which made it even better value. I like their laksa!

I agree, their laksas are the best!

This is a small & busy restaurant offering Malaysian/Singapore cuisine and I've been here a few times. We usually order the chicken rice, curry laksa, beef rendang, nasi lemak and other dishes if we go in a group. The food is good but service is poor and location not the best. Prices are expensive and I don't think we'll go back there for a long time.

I went here for lunch with work colleagues. The restaurant is located in what appears to be a dodgy alleyway next to the Roxy and had the feeling of a very busy bustling Asian city. The restaurant was packed and all waiting staff were occupied. I tried the sambal which I found quite nice and a generous serving. Around our table I got the general consensus that everyone enjoyed their food. Price was reasonable as most of us chose from the lunch specials. However, service by the wait staff could be better, as to some it may come off as rude. In my opinion, I think its just a communication barrier (most staff speak little English) and also because of the busy atmosphere, given the amount of patrons they have to attend to. Would come back here because of the food...which the impression that I got from other patrons as well.

The food here is pretty good although the portion is not as big as expected. There were so many choices on the menu that my friends n I took quite some time trying to decide which dish to order. Finally we settled on beef rendang, hainanese chicken rice, kang kung, tomyum and laksa. The tomyum was too sour for my taste and the chicken rice just average. The rest were just so-so as well, not as good as hoped. Service was pretty bad and the place is quite cramped. Might not visit this place again

Serves authentic Malaysian & Singaporean cuisine - this is one of my favourite places to get good Malaysian food. The quality of food is great overall, and although prices are a bit high, you get good value for your money if you go in a group.

Unfortunately, the restaurant is situated in a rather dodgy location, and the staff have a reputation for being a bit rude, and they don't exactly offer the best service around. You get better treatment if you're a regular or if you know the owner personally though.

If you're willing to look past the below-par service, this is an excellent place to have Malaysian/Singaporean cuisine - I'd definitely recommend it.

My aunty and I on two separate occasions found hair in our laksas and reported it to the staff who simply apologised but insisted that we pay for our laksas because we'd eaten all prawns (didn't see the hair as it was in noodles and soup underneath)!! That is simply unacceptable and not up to the food quality or customer service standards one expects of a business in Australia.

The good: great food, great value, go with at least three or four other people so you can try lots. You must have the kecap manis sotong, which is crispy fried calamari in dark sticky sweet soy sauce with a little chilli kick. Pay $60 for four adults and a toddler.

The bad: quite cramped - not good for fidgety kids or elderly folk but its ok if you dont plan on staying for long.

The ugly: sometimes can be a bit disconcerting when you get seated in a small laneway that leads straight to a carpark, toilet can be a bit dodgy (its outsidd in the laneway).

This place has a long history of serving good Singapore and Malaysian cuisine in Parramatta. I love their sambal vegetables and laksa. I can't fault their food, the service is just a bit rushed. Just come for the food :)

A true guide to any Asian restaurant is, do the Asians eat here? And the answer here is, most definitely. Saturday nights in particular, booking is essential. I have even seen this restaurant full at lunch time.
If you want to try good Singaporean and Malaysian food, I strongly recommend this restaurant. The laksa, char kway teow and curries are as authentic as you can get this side of Sentosa Island.

This is my all time favourite restaurant! It has, perhaps the worlds best laksa. I can't get enough of it! Every dish is great. It is always packed out at lunchtimes (I have never tried it for dinner). It is not a pretty restaurant - the type with plastic table cloths, and the service is average but the food is so good that it makes it worth it. It is honestly the best Malaysian I have had. For dessert you must try the ice kechang. It seems a bit weird to the western pallet - it is like a snow cone with corn, red bean and grass jelly in it along with various syrups, however, when you mix it together it is absolutely delicious...definitely woth being adventurous for!

The best malaysian food ever. Everyone I know who has tried this place loves it. The service isn't fantastic and its always really busy, but the food definately makes up for it. Its always got a lot of asians so you know its good. The satay is to die for.

This is a truly authentic dinning experience. The food is traditional Malay and the beef rendang was great - the meat just fell apart and was properly spicy.

Truly authentic Singaporean food...the Hokkein Prawn mee, kangkong and laksa are yummy...in fact, i'm making myself salivate thinking about it. Might be a bit pricey but for the flavour it's worth it.
