Really tasty Malay/Singapore dishes. It's a small place, the aroma inside is amazing. The service may not be the best as they could be really busy all the time. Definitely need to book on weekends.

We were recommended here by a friend of ours for a great Malaysian cuisine with not so great service, and he hit the nail on the head with this one! The food was really good - probably some of the best Malaysian food I've had in quite a while however the service is a little shocking, very thriving and bustling and I can see why. Most just come here for the food, not the service or ambience!

I've been to this place with family and friends. We had a 25% off voucher from the Entertainment book, which made it even better value. I like their laksa!

I agree, their laksas are the best!

This is a small & busy restaurant offering Malaysian/Singapore cuisine and I've been here a few times. We usually order the chicken rice, curry laksa, beef rendang, nasi lemak and other dishes if we go in a group. The food is good but service is poor and location not the best. Prices are expensive and I don't think we'll go back there for a long time.

I went here for lunch with work colleagues. The restaurant is located in what appears to be a dodgy alleyway next to the Roxy and had the feeling of a very busy bustling Asian city. The restaurant was packed and all waiting staff were occupied. I tried the sambal which I found quite nice and a generous serving. Around our table I got the general consensus that everyone enjoyed their food. Price was reasonable as most of us chose from the lunch specials. However, service by the wait staff could be better, as to some it may come off as rude. In my opinion, I think its just a communication barrier (most staff speak little English) and also because of the busy atmosphere, given the amount of patrons they have to attend to. Would come back here because of the food...which the impression that I got from other patrons as well.

The food here is pretty good although the portion is not as big as expected. There were so many choices on the menu that my friends n I took quite some time trying to decide which dish to order. Finally we settled on beef rendang, hainanese chicken rice, kang kung, tomyum and laksa. The tomyum was too sour for my taste and the chicken rice just average. The rest were just so-so as well, not as good as hoped. Service was pretty bad and the place is quite cramped. Might not visit this place again

Serves authentic Malaysian & Singaporean cuisine - this is one of my favourite places to get good Malaysian food. The quality of food is great overall, and although prices are a bit high, you get good value for your money if you go in a group.

Unfortunately, the restaurant is situated in a rather dodgy location, and the staff have a reputation for being a bit rude, and they don't exactly offer the best service around. You get better treatment if you're a regular or if you know the owner personally though.

If you're willing to look past the below-par service, this is an excellent place to have Malaysian/Singaporean cuisine - I'd definitely recommend it.

My aunty and I on two separate occasions found hair in our laksas and reported it to the staff who simply apologised but insisted that we pay for our laksas because we'd eaten all prawns (didn't see the hair as it was in noodles and soup underneath)!! That is simply unacceptable and not up to the food quality or customer service standards one expects of a business in Australia.

The good: great food, great value, go with at least three or four other people so you can try lots. You must have the kecap manis sotong, which is crispy fried calamari in dark sticky sweet soy sauce with a little chilli kick. Pay $60 for four adults and a toddler.

The bad: quite cramped - not good for fidgety kids or elderly folk but its ok if you dont plan on staying for long.

The ugly: sometimes can be a bit disconcerting when you get seated in a small laneway that leads straight to a carpark, toilet can be a bit dodgy (its outsidd in the laneway).

Fantastic food in otherwise cramped settings. The service seems to vary everytime I eat here. Nonetheless a great feed at reasonable prices
