Just got back from dinner at Tenkadori. This place specialises in yakitori (grilled items and some on skewers). I had been meaning to try it for the past year or so.Anyway, we finally went. The place is very casual, almost takeaway-like but a bit nicer. It was small - 6 tables (for 2 or 4). We were greeted almost immediately upon entering.

As we were famished, we ordered a Tenkadori tasting plate (2 chicken skewers, 2 mince skewers, 3 button mushrooms, 4 pieces of zucchini - all doused in a sweet/salty dark sauce in typical yakitori style). We also ordered the grilled egg plant, grilled fish cake, salmon sashimi, takoyaki (octopus balls - dough balls filled with a small piece of octopus), and a bowl of rice to share. Pretty tasty but if you are looking for a variety of tastes, you might be a bit dissapointed as all the dishes (except the salmon sashimi) was served with the same sauce. I didn't mind it but my partner got a bit bored with the taste. He aso didn't feel satisfied after the meal and said he needed a burger or steak. But I guess if you are after a nice light healthy meal, this could be your choice.

Approximate cost: $10
