NEVER EVER AGAIN! FALSELY ADVERTISES THAT THEY ARE AIPP QUALIFIED WHEN THEY ARE NOT. Having used Morffew in Sydney and Katrina Christ, Brisbane I was disgusted with this photographer. Photos of our newborn baby and toddler were taken in April and it took until September to get our photos. I paid for digital images, after 6 discs, yes that's right it took 6 discs. The 1st disc was only edited with blurred edges - I can do this on my Mac. The 2nd was completely unedited, the 3rd partially edited, the 4th were low resolution and couldn't even be printed in wallet size, the 5th was a disc with 72 images - we only chose 16 shots but it was every single version since disc 1 and an instruction for me to go through them and work out what was what - I thought this was what I had paid a so called professional photographer to do! The 6th disc had 16 shots we had paid for but some were still not high resolution as we had paid for. Never once did I receive an apology and it was the business owner that I dealt with the entire time.
After making a complaint to AIPP - Australian Institute of Professional Photography I found out that this photographer was not a member as she had advertised on her website, my only option was to go through Consumer Affairs.
They then didn't respond to emails or phone calls, disgusting customer service and I will make it my mission to tell everyone I know how terrible my experience was and how they fraudulently advertised that they were AIPP and had won multi silver awards when they had not.
As for the photos - it was the business owner that took the photos, the camera was not a continuous shot camera, it took one photo at a time whereas I have been used to a round of photos at a time so you capture the best look, it appeared that she was inexperienced with photographing babies, the photos are quite distasteful with genitals showing, other photographers disguise this with moving babies legs or general positioning of the baby, I have beautiful photos of my 3 year old as a newborn and its a shame I don't have the same for my 7 month old. We have now missed this opportunity forever. I wish now I had gone to Luisa Dunn Photography at Sumner Park, she takes beautiful photos of newborns and I didn't because she quite a distance from where I live, I will now be having future photos which I have done yearly with her.
Lesson learnt, if someone states their qualification or membership, check with the organisation that provides this qualification to ensure they are telling the truth. Also never ever pay for anything in full until you see the finished product. The business owner was very friendly to the point of being gushy until the first problem arose and then didn't want to know about me and was extremely uncooperative and difficult to deal with.
This has been an extremely disappointing, frustrating, upsetting and expensive exercise.

Here is another slant on the above. There is too much to address above, so I will stick to the main bits.

I think the photographer you speak of has actually been in business about 10 years and has shot thousands of weddings and portraits. I don't think she would have done anything differently for your session.

Let's see... you come in on a voucher offering something small for free, you are told there will be many photos taken and they are for sale if you want more than your free image... correct?

So 70 odd photos are taken, including a few full length/front on ones of 'bub' that you did ask for. ( Re. the genital shots mentioned by you)

Then after you look at them and decide on 16 shots, INCLUDING THE FULL FRONT NAKED ONES.... which you did not have to choose, you get the price of $700 for them. You hate them that much that you hand over $700!!??

The studio then send you an edited disk, you sit on it for a bit, then want another edit. Studio gets it done.

The studio sends you a second disk, you sit on that for couple of weeks, then want another edit. Studio gets it done.

Repeat the above 6 odd times. Still not happy. Studio gives you all your images to try to make you happy. ( That would be the big disk ). Studio gives you a $600 wall mount to try to make you happy.

Studio actually drove to your home to personally deliver something too I recall?

There is just no pleasing 1000 out of 1000.... as anyone in business knows.

But it could have all been just something the studio decided to do on purpose? Studios who churn out this work like to, on occasion, just make images wallet sized for fun and annoy our valuable clients!

Anyhow... all that was just something to think about.

We had a wedding photos taken and produced by Paula from That's Me Photography. We really loved the photos and the album that was put together was absolutely awesome. It was not cheap but still good value for what you get. Paula made us feel really comfortable on the day and because of that got many really natural, beautiful photos.
