My first experience of The Bean Bank Coffee House in Ballina was calling in for a coffee "to go" at 7.30am pretty much every work day. Glenn and Effie are the consummate hosts. I say hosts because every visit seems like I'm being invited into their home.
I progressed from just a coffee to go customer to having lunch there on a regular basis. The food is fabulous. Effie serves up the best fresh and tasty delights and willingly adapts a meal to cater for people with food sensitivities such as gluten, sugar and dairy intolerance.
Glenn's love of "all things coffee" is what sets him apart from other baristas. He spends time and energy sourcing, roasting and blending only the best coffee beans and then he adds that extra special ingredient...LOVE! And it shows in every cup of coffee I have from him and his well trained, customer-focussed baristas.
If you are in Ballina and looking for a great coffee, Latte Soy Dandelion (LSD), herbal tea,or fresh, healthy treats and the friendliest customer focussed team, get yourself along to The Bean Bank Coffee House.

Most delicious coffee and a must to visit!! Their coffee is made perfectly and is just so smooth and rich and full of flavour, unlike a lot of other places. Definitely worth going out of your way for.

confessions of a beanbank fan .... this coffee is manifest proof
that sourcing, roasting and machine maestro Glenn, who is one of the principals, has vertically integrated to control his
output .... if the queues aren't testament enough let the coffee
hook you for life .... now ... Effie's expertly & delicately flavoured Grecian offerings bring an unexpected cultural infusion to the innocence of seaside Ballina .... Glenn&Effie ...
a potent combination xxxx

If anyone was looking for a great coffe in town Bean Bank is the place to go. I have recommended them to many others. The coffee is roasted by the owners and is made to perfection. The service is great even when busy and the owners make you feel like part of their family.

Great food and the best coffee I've had on the Northern Rivers so far. Very nice people, happy staff and nice feel to the place. Very busy for a little country cafe. Looks and feels like a city cafe. I really appreciated the air-conditioning as it was hot outside! Will return.

We were very lucky to come across The Bean Bank coffee House last Saturday night.
It was a beautiful night and we were strolling down the street, we have had coffee here before on our past travels (beautiful coffee!) But to our surprise they were open for Saturday night trading.
Apparently they have recently got their alcohol license and are now doing quality exotic beers and wines and beautiful cocktails. We were lucky to get a table outside as it was getting on and the place was pumping! The atmosphere was so lovely with dim lights and candles and beautiful tunes.
We were hungry so we decided to order a meze platter, the service was so nice and they really made us feel at home. The entrees were homemade Mediterranean dips and the main was 2 platters one full of antipasto cheeses of all types and fruit and the other cold and warm meats including lamb kebabs.
The whole experience was wonderful and the cocktails mmm what can I say I felt so spoiled, highly recommended. A night to remember

If you're wondering why this place is always busy, try the coffee... I'd sooner wait in line for a bean bank coffee than go down the street. It is well worth the wait!
