The Black Olive Cafe is one of our favourites. My friend and I often come here for brunch during the week. The staff are so lovely and the food is absolutely amazing. Highly reccomended!

A couple of months ago I was in the area and had a quick lunch here. The chicken salad was pleasant and so was the coffee. Friendly staff and nice tables to sit at outside which have umbrellas for shade when required. Extensive indoor seating also.

The Black Olive has a great range of food, hot and cold, sweet and savoury, but I haven't been overly impressed with their coffee. it reminds me of dishwater! The service is quick and efficient.

The Black Olive prepares a variety of delicious baguettes and foccacias. The size and taste are above average, although the service was a bit slow and the last two occasions I visited one of the ordered items was 'forgotten about' by the staff (both times I had to approach the counter and ask where it was). They serve a wonderful cup of tea too - instead of bringing out a generic lipton tea bag, they sell full leaf silk bagged teas which are fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable, food is very tasty, only the service was lacking.
