Nice place for a drink or a coffee. Really nice facilities and location on Domain Road. :-)

I found it very pleasant to be able to have my coffee on an outside table with the gardens opposite, and was able to get plenty of sun. The coffee was great quality and a generous size. I thought the staff were very focused on serving their customers, and were chatty without being obtrusive. Even though it was quite crowded the seating was perfect and it was easy to have a conversation.

We visited Botanical after seeing it in the Gold recommended section of the Greater Melbourne Entertainment book. My husband had the beef tartare as his entre which was superbly plated and full of perfect textures and tastes that just blended well. I had the smoked salmon as my entre with cucumber curls, asparagus, caviar and cucumber and vodka jelly. It was divine. No other possible way to describe. Mains were poached pear and duck and my husband had the pumpkin gnocchi. Once again perfection. Dessert was a beautifully presented apple and rosemary crumble. The apple had been shaped and the crumble was sprinkled across the plate with apple sorbet and meringue. Another winner were the cocktails. Peach and lemongrass and the trinidad sours were our favourite. This is the perfect impresser venue for special occasions or first dates. I will be back.

had dinner last night. it was stylish and classy. good quality food, serving of food is small on a huge plate. a little to pricey. although that's whats expected in such places - service excellent. would recommend though, but eat a big lunch before going here.

Approximate cost: $30.00

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality meal in a casual but classy environment. The menu is pretty diverse, if you like seafood it caters well. A must try is the Thai Pork Salad! Attention to detail is fantastic, everything from the balsamic reduction to the sugar cubes they use in the coffee. Great dining!

Approximate cost: $35
