The food was nice, staff was excellent especially the security guards who helped make sure I got home safe after the venue had closed. Drinks are reasonably priced and the band was enjoyable as well as the competitive games of pool would definitely visit here on future occasions.

I've been for the Burvale many, many times for beers and cheap feeds in the Brew Bar... and that's what they should stick to.

For the first time, I ate in the Bistro. It's a Woolworths/ALH pub, so the menu is similar to all those, including the prices (compare Shoppingtown Hotel, The Blackburn, and the Mountain View Hotel Glen Wav). So, it's expensive. The food came out and it was lukewarm at-best. And it was pretty poor in terms of quality.

I'm happy to eat in the bar with a few beers, but why would I ever go to the Bistro again???

Approximate cost: $22.00

Look, noone goes here for the food do they? It's pretty mundane and poorly cooked in general. The wine list is appalling, the decor jaded and the staff sparse and disinterested.
However....the kids LOVE the free karaoke, arcade games and meals on Fridays, so we go...

Approximate cost: $16

Very Very slow service in the gaming section, both with food, drinks & pay outs at cashier.
There seems to be a lack of staff & the staff who are there are not very friendly.
Pity about the poor rating I gave as the place has potential if the staff got their act together.

My gosh this wasn't good! My husband took me out for my birthday here for a meal. The menu seemed pretty good until we went up to order and less than 50% of the items were available! We had to wait at the bar for drinks, very slow service. Upon ordering desserts, we found that less than 50% of the items were available again, (big frown, disappointing). I ordered a strawberry cheesecake and was served a vanilla cheesecake with macadamia nuts! Was shocked, considering I hate macadamia nuts! Sent it back and ended up with a childrens bowl of soft serve ice cream that when it arrived at the table was a big serve of slush!

i ate in the bar section , affordable but very tasty meal. With a wide range of burgers, steaks and sides it can cater for most. Very laid back atmosphere and heaps of parking.

Went for lunch midweek, very quiet, reasonably prompt table service but bar service was very ordinary, waited for a long time. Meals were very slow from ordering to table and some were luke warm and others were overcooked.
