Went here with a group of 5 on Friday night 21st of June. The place is really nice and has a good vibe and plays good music... not to radio-ey and not too old. Now that covers the 'good'. The bad is that the food was truly AWFUL. We got the onion rings which were huge, like 10cm diameter wide. They tasted exactly like oil and nothing else. When I took them back to the bar, bemused really, and asked him to take them back and maybe try one... he was suitably embarrassed but offered no restitution. My friend ordered the chicken and even though he hates to complain, he even admitted that the whole thing also tasted of oil. I saw the staff member tell the manager who didn't approach us or anything. Preetty appauled but found it humerous really.

Fantastic location in Nedlands, the layout of the restaurant is what amazed me. There a little pot plants throughout the restaurant and the lights are amazing! My sisters and my 20 month old twins went for High Tea. It was actually a bit disappointing as the MENU was the same as The George. I was expecting something a little different but later found out it is the same own as The George which i only had a week earlier. My sister has the scoopon deal which was 72 for four people and you get sparkling wine too.
The high tea was nothing amazing and it was not made with love. The beef was different sizes and was not very appealing. At a high tea i would expect delicate morsels of cakes but we got brownies!!

When you see the place, you'll be amazed at the transformation from the previous restaurant that stood in its place (terrazzas). The place is stylish, well designed w/ different sections that flow together to form The Byrneleigh. The restaurant/bar/cafe is a great concept- great food & drinks menu. Perfect for a special occasion or drinks on a Friday/ Saturday. Highly recommended.
