Great venue with good food and amazing, run-off-their-feet staff but the owner is a meanspirited grinch to his staff. Won't give them the legal breaks owed to them and won't provide staff meals. For this reason alone, I won't be coming back. Thanks to the team there for being so friendly and going over and above for customers despite the awful leadership.

Approximate cost: $30

Went here with a group of 5 on Friday night 21st of June. The place is really nice and has a good vibe and plays good music... not to radio-ey and not too old. Now that covers the 'good'. The bad is that the food was truly AWFUL. We got the onion rings which were huge, like 10cm diameter wide. They tasted exactly like oil and nothing else. When I took them back to the bar, bemused really, and asked him to take them back and maybe try one... he was suitably embarrassed but offered no restitution. My friend ordered the chicken and even though he hates to complain, he even admitted that the whole thing also tasted of oil. I saw the staff member tell the manager who didn't approach us or anything. Preetty appauled but found it humerous really.

My favourite restaurant in Perth! I haven't been back for ages, its been about 6 months, so was really happy to get there last weekend. I always go with the same 2 friends, it's become a traditions. We get the 4 courses but my favourite part is always the sashimi. This place got me obsessed with raw tuna. Each plate comes out like a work of art. I love the lighting and the subtlely inconspicuous staff who are somehow always there when you need them but not in sight unless needed! I've never been disappointed with this place and even notice that it attracts a nice crowd too. Not too noisy but never quiet :). Will be back for the rest of my life!

This review is for Stones Pizza, North Perth WA

It expensive, but it's the best pizza in Perth. Sometimes you get a dud, sloppy one but 9 out of 10 are cooked on point. My fave is the prawn and pizza, can't go past it. The staff tend to seem happy to be there and although it's expensive (around $20 per pizza), it's worth it. I always buy Stones to impress friends and family who come from interstate/overseas ;). It's not often you find restaurant quality pizza!

This review is for Jesters Pies, Tuart Hill WA

Had Jesters for lunch earlier in the week. I have a jaffle pie maker at home so I don't know why I bother eating pies out. The fillings are nice, especially the bacon one, but I consistently find lumps of unappetising fat in there. The Tuart Hill store was a bit unkempt and staff were a bit indifferent. I doubt I'll bother going back again.

I hear bad things about cockroaches and the horrible decor and fatty chicken in the rice dishes but Takas, none the less, has the best sushi in Perth. Every time I see that bright blue building when I am driving on Wellington st, my mouth waters. Love the calafornia roll and vegetarian best. The beef and rice (I forget the name) is also among my faves.

This review is for Miss Maud Swedish Hotel & Restaurant, Perth WA

I used to work across the road from here last year so would go in all the time for the angel cake, the green one with marzipan. I don't even like marzipan that much but it just reminds me of being young, when going out to Miss Mauds was like winning the lottery! I had the smorg last week and I have to give compliments to the desserts selection but my soup was far too salty and when I told the waitress (who asked me how it all was), she didn't care. I have never had an item in a restaurant that was salted to the point that it was inedible until now. I'll be back though, once a year or so, for old times sake.

I heard about this place from a friend, so checked it out with a couple of friends before it closed in March. We just had coffee and shared a piece of chocolate cake. All really nice, but the stand out of the place was the decor and the 'hidden' away feel. The service was good, but nothing special and there was a fairly good selection of snack options. It's a shame that this place closed down :(

Had lunch this weekend at this beautiful spot in Kings Park. Expensive food but worth it really owing to the views. Would be a great spot to bring the kids. The coffee was quite nice as was the pizza and prawn linguini. Will be back when I am in Kings Park again!!

Had a coffee here with a friend, nice coffee and good service. Really nice place too, had a good vibe. Didn't think there were a great selection of food options, might be back if I am in the area.
