Such a cute little cafe! Great area at the back under the big trees. Very relaxing. Came here with friends for breaky and had the poached eggs. Good menu and service. Love the little Golden books :)

They lost a star on service because the first time I was there I asked for a burger at 11:55am and was told I couldn't order lunch until 12:00pm. Otherwise, service is ok. The food is quite interesting - the corn jacks I had for breakfast were something I'd never had at another venue, and the snickers milkshake is a winner. The slices are quite incredible. I do feel a bit ambiguous about the defaced Golden Books being used as menus though.

Used to be great, now the service is poor food is overpriced for what you get. I heard the business was sold, this explains a lot. Food arrives cold / undercooked. Wont bother going back.

A good place to the kids on a nice day, you can sit outside and they have a blackboard and sandpit but the gravel on the ground is very tempting and they end up playing with that instead, not so good. I found their coffee mug to be way to big but the food is always nice except for the time they ran out of nearly all the sweets. Staff are young but friendly and helpful.

Most people would probably miss this place if driving past - it looks just like a house with some tables out the front. But inside it feels like a cottage. Fireplace was going last time I went, which was great seeing that it was freezing outside. Meals are fantastic, and the coffee is really nice. Highly recommended.

I would go back again for a regular lunch or coffee. Cosy and casual. LOVE the modified Golden Books menus!!!

We very much enjoy going to the Cottage when we are in Pakington Street for a bite to eat. The service is very friendly and the food is great.

Comfy atmosphere, dog friendly, and staff are up for a chat even if they do usually forget someones coffee or to bring you cutlery! The menu changes frequently so if you go there a lot it doesn't get boring. It is also a good place if you just want to linger over a paper and I feel comfortable going there on my own. Great breaky menu.

The staff here tend to be quite young, and not as attentive as I would prefer. A trendy crowd lives in this cafe on weekend mornings, so it can get quite busy and crowded. However, the food is generally nice.

This is a cute venue which is good for catching up with friends over coffee. Very nice homemade cookies and muffins. Outside seating available for sunny days
