Maybe our expectations are too high, but....
Food was very good, but to get 4 or even 5 stars presentation needs to be master chef level, and it was reminiscent of the local pub. The staff need to be trained in fine dining, which took a lot away from the experience, maybe it would improve if the manager set a good example or even replace the plastic flower with the real thing ?!?.
Will we go back for another special occasion - No, we will try the RSL instead.

I booked for a pre-Christmas family lunch here because I have dined here before. I also held my 60th Birthday function (45+ guests) here a few years ago and it was fabulous.
I booked online this time (through Dimmi) requesting one of the private rooms and was thrilled when we arrived to be ushered into the 'Judges' Chambers'. It's a perfect room for a group of up to 6 and the atmosphere is wonderful.
I could go into more detail, but to sum it up the food is absolutely the tops, with generous servings, beautifully presented, and the service is excellent. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but if you want that special dining experience, this is definitely the place.

This place has special meaning for me, I took my now wife there before proposing. The setting is trully amazing and we had dinner in a jail cell (very funny), food was great although a little expensive. We had the Grilled Barramundi. Desert was the icing on the cake, Dark Chocolate brownie, yum!!!!

Good to see the Courthouse Restaurant is still running with some great service. We took my nanna there for her seventieth birthday while she was still with us. I remember it being a lovely place. I will have to go there again.

This restaurant is amazing, from the minute you walk in you are greeted and led to your table, the service is impecable and the food is exsquisite. I have only ever been once and the prices are very high but well worth it.

Have been here a few times over the last few years, and it is a lovely atmosphere. It is great for a romantic place to dine. Not cheap but there's no place quite like it and they always serve lovely meals. So I am happy once in a while to pay a little extra for such a luxury place to eat.

I have dined here since the 1980's and everytime I go back I always enjoy myself immensely. The food is of a very high standard but can be a bit pricey so I usually only go here on special occasions. Great old sandstone building which is great for a romantic dinner. Highly recommend to anyone.

I go here every year for my great grandma's birthday. The food is exquisite and the service is quite good. It is a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it. Very good vibe and layout. Would recommend it!

I had my wedding reception here in 2004... absolutely beautiful! The food was fantastic, the staff were prompt, friendly and helpful, the dining area has a cozy and intimate feel. The room caters for up to about 100 people, I had 75 at my wedding and it wasn't stuffy, it was just perfect. It is right on the water's edge, and has 'old world charm, so it was fantastic for photo opportunities.
