Waited for menus for 10mins once seated and told will be back with them, then got up and got them ourselves, the place was half empty so didn't expect the 50minute wait for our meals. No bread or rolls are given while you wait like they used to. The meals were just under $25 and were so small we were still hungry afterwards! At the price for the meal I didnt expect to have ordered a side dish of vegies aswell. Quality was there but seriously lacked quantity. After dining here before we thought this to be the place to go on our first dine out since our baby was born over a year ago. The menu, prices and service have gone downhill so much we are not going back again. What a shame, we used to go there once a month atleast.

Worth checking out a small pub with a cottage like feel. Great specials on drinks and with a impressive menu its worth the trip up the hill. One draw back to otherwise perfect pub is no tab but with excellent customer service complimentary coffee and soft drink to gaming room customers the place is not bad for a small pub

Over-rated and rude - I'll tell you why from the most recent incident. My daughter had arranged to meet the duty manager to discuss arrangements to hold an engagement party on the outside veranda. She had been told the Duck Inn could do this and provide drinks and dishes etc at various prices - so the meeting was designed to sort all these things out.
On arriving, my daughter told a member of the bar staff that she had an appointment and was informed "someone will be with you shortly".
After waiting 15 minutes, she inquired again and was told the duty manager was "tied up" but would be around shortly.
After 25 minutes, my daughter left - and so did the chance the Duck had of getting any business from us.
Ordinary, to say the least...

We visited The Duck Inn about six months ago and we were more than satisfied. Good size meals, great quality food. We had a table right next to the open fire and the lamb back strap was delicious! Good options for vegetarians and kids, and some nice dessert options too. Nice wine list as well, not the same old mass-produced wines you see on so many wine lists.

Great place for family eating. We took 3 generations to The Duck Inn. I had fish and chips and salad for a filling and tasty meal. The children were catered for with kids meals and especially the dessert with sprinkles over the ice cream. Adults were offered a variety of meals, all tastefully served with a good selection of salads. Drinks were available from the small bar. Tjhe log fire in cold weather gives a homely effect. Lovely setting and great meals.
