A regular for many years, enjoy the food, but after a heavy fall on a very wet tiled & extremely slippery floor, I was disappointed & angry by the lack if empathy & concern from the owner. He came across as arrogant, didn't offer a drink or discount on the meal. This floor was extremely unsafe and should not be like this on a busy Sunday lunch. He did not agree with me. My back is still receiving treatment. Hopefully he will pay the costs as promised. Time will tell.

The Eating House Decor is getting a bit old and tired, the floor needs repolishing and the light fittings need cleaning. I really miss a seafood chowder that they no longer have on the menu, it was to die for! However they have a varied menu and their beer battered chips are particularly yummy!

The mains and entrees are a bit expensive, but are of a pretty good quality. The pizzas and pastas are slightly more affordable though. They do tend to change their menus quite often, as some of the things I had once were no longer there.

Still, Eating House is an above average eating experience for an above average price.

Excellent menu, with gluten free and vegetarian options.
Large servings, particularly the desserts, where you could easily share one dessert between two people. Good selection for children as well.

Food was good to very good but the serving sizes were smaller than expected. Main meals were quite expensive for a family restaurant considering the portion size. Service was excellent.
There are lots of other places that offer better value for money, so I wont be going back.

Approximate cost: $25-$32

Good mix of meal selections available. Tuesday night steak nights excellent value. Staff are pleasant though a couple of times our order has been significantly delayed, taking up to 60 minutes for pizza or chicken burger to arrive at table. Often forget our request for water.

Approximate cost: $24.00

The Eating House has a great menu and is reasonably priced. I dine there regularly. I find the ambience to be great.

The menu has just changed & is terrible. For eg. Calamari comes with Chorizo & Asian Salad, Chorizo is spanish so why would you have an Asian salad with it, each to their own, another is they no longer have fettucine Carbornara, this was my favorite. I understand menus need to be changed form time to time, but this latest is not a winner for me, bring back the Fett Carb please...

Approximate cost: $18

I also had the Calamari with the Chorizo and salad, not good. Don't get this, flavour combination not right, wish I'd read your comment before dinning.

I have been several times & its a bit hit & miss, though majority of the visits the meals have been ok. They have a homemade aoli thats really good. The wait staff are ok but the manager is really welcoming & friendly. If your after a low-key dinner & in the area, give it a go.

Have been here twice for lunch now. The food is ok, nothing great. The chai lattes are too sweet and aren't made using loose leaf tea. Service was ok.
