Apparently this is the sister hotel of The Local, which is pretty much opposite it. I would call it the fancier sister. Gets a good crowd most nights and has some seating outside. Not my favourite, but not bad.

The food can be a hit and miss, but overall the food and drinks are well priced so it is a decent local pub for a drink and pub meal in Port Melbourne.

Very expensive for pub meals and the quality is OK but certainly not for the prices you pay. The menu is consistent which is good. Service is good, the staff are quite attentive. The venue has a lovely restaurant out the back. Good selection of beers and wines but again, can be quite pricey. Large, open venue.

Approximate cost: $25-$30

This is a typical local pub in looks and service, however it's location means that they are pretty expensive with drinks and food menu. A friend ordered a pint of soft drink for $6! All of the pubs in the area are pretty expensive, but many others have paid more attention to detail than The Exchange. It's good because it is one of the oldest pubs in Melbourne and has a history dating back to the Sandridge days of Port Melbourne.

Approximate cost: $24.00
