This review is for Dunes Cafe, Ocean Grove VIC

The best thing about this cafe is the view! Set above the Ocean Grove Life Saving Club, there are 180 degree views taking in Point Lonsdale, out to sea and around to Barwon Heads Bluff. Often busy on weekends and the coffee and food is above average, but the view is what it's all about.

This review is for Hobsons Garden Cafe, Queenscliff VIC

This is a lovely little cafe set in pretty garden surrounds and serving old fashioned home made meals and cakes. Popular with bike riders in the mornings and busy right through out the day with locals and visitors. It's off the main street and nice and quiet tucked in behind a small art gallery. Lovely!

This review is for Studio Fashion, Queenscliff VIC

This is a great little shop for imported cheap fashion knock-offs. Tops for $10, Jackets for $25. Most stock is from Asia and the quality is not so good, but it is mostly the fashion of the time so it doesn't matter if it doesn't last long. A good shop for topping up your wardrobe with a few cheap items.

This review is for Kelp Cafe, Point Lonsdale VIC

Kelp is a relaxed, and often busy, cafe during the day and a fine dining restaurant for the evenings. The coffee is Di Manfredi and delicious and each hot drink comes with a small piece of fudge! The beef pita on the lunch menu is amazing. Lovely cafe in the heart of a sweet town.

This review is for Izumi, St Kilda VIC

This is my favourite cafe for lunch along the St Kilda end of St Kilda Rd. The chefs are Asian so I recommend sticking with the Asian part of the menu for some really good food, however they do a variety of things quite well. It's often busy and is usually fast given how many tables they have.

This review is for The Exchange Hotel, Port Melbourne VIC

verified email - 14 May 2009

This is a typical local pub in looks and service, however it's location means that they are pretty expensive with drinks and food menu. A friend ordered a pint of soft drink for $6! All of the pubs in the area are pretty expensive, but many others have paid more attention to detail than The Exchange. It's good because it is one of the oldest pubs in Melbourne and has a history dating back to the Sandridge days of Port Melbourne.

This review is for Miyabi Hairdressing, South Melbourne VIC

verified email - 14 May 2009

I went to this hairdressers as it was the only place to be able to fit me in before Christmas. I liked the hairdresser and was very pleased with the colour results at the end of the appointment. However I was worried about how little time she left the colour in to develop. And within about 2 weeks, the permanant colour I had paid a lot for had all but washed out.

This review is for Livingroom, Malvern VIC

verified email - 14 May 2009

Livingroom is a lovely restaurant set in a residential block of Malvern. The restuarant is a converted older home and the dining area is in fact the old living room. The service is friendly and non-intrusive and the food is very well cooked. A bit pricey but lovely for romantic dinners or special occasions with a larger group.

This review is for Noisette, Port Melbourne VIC

verified email - 14 May 2009

Noisette is an absolute must! They have Di Manfredi coffee, delicious pasteries and breads & lovely made-up baguettes for lunches. It is a bustling and noisy little cafe and there is often a que but the service is quick. Even when they are flat out, it's unusual to wait more than 5 minutes for a takeaway coffee. Amazing little place!

Ora Thai has extremely yummy food and a good range on the menu! It is a fast and healthy take away option compared to pizza. Convenient to Port Melbourne locals and definitely worth a try!
