The Float Centre

I bought a horse float from this business in 2011 and everything went well. I got great service and attention until after I paid and collected my float. I encountered a problem with the performance of my float and contacted The Float Centre to get their help as the float was still under warranty, had little use and was dangerous to tow.
I had to go to extreme lengths to prove to The Float Centre that my float indeed did have an issue. Towing it behind multiple vehicles and even taking them with me in my car! In the end I needed advice from an engineer!! It took me 3 months, many hours and many conversations and emails to get any joy. When push came to shove (which it did) after a verbal and written contract The Float Centre made with my husband and I was broken. I had to employ legal counsel to get the issue dealt with properly.
It is my opinion that this business does not understand Australian Consumer Law, does not understand how to give ongoing customer service and finally does not recognise their duty of care when selling horse floats.
I have been shouted and sworn at by one of the owners who intimated I was a lier and menaced by her son.
I would not deal with this company ever again.
The first and last experience you have with a business is an indelible one that lasts in your memory.
My dealings with The Float Centre are etched into my memory and as a consumer I feel it necessary to write this review to warn other consumers of my experience.
Other people who have dealt with The Float Centre have spoken of poor or non-existant after sales service. A lack of interest when a product they sold has not lived up to or performed to expectations.
These people have become tired of being given the run-around by The Float Centre and have subsequently sold their horse floats to unsuspecting buyers therefore The Float Centre has gotten away with not dealing with the issues they should.
When I pushed my point, didn't allow them to ignore me and finally forced them to fix my problem the vitriol and poor behaviour cemented in my mind that The Float Centre is not a business that is interested in ongoing referral and happy customers.
If you do buy a float from The Float Centre be sure you are completely satisfied before you hand over all your hard earned cash. If you expect them to help you after you have.....GOOD LUCK!
