I'm afraid my biggest gripe is it was too crowded and expensive and because I'm a semi vegetarian it was just not catering for me. But that's German food generally
The German Club is still going strong! It's a funny little place, a rabbit warren of various rooms with secret-seeming goings on.
The food is just good, not spectacular, but it IS cheap and authentic, and you'll enjoy the quaintness of the kransky and sauerkraut and the like... lots of fun to go there with friends for the exceptionally cheap drinks and the lovely atmosphere.
If you're interested in a different experience, the German Club will deliver!
Nice to know that it is still operating
This place has been around for a long time and I have attended some great functions here. The appealing thing is the German cuisine and of course the beer. Unlike the Italian clubs this is a German Club on it's own and is really authentic. You can book the place an they are forever organizing different activities there.
