This business has recently had a makeover. They have made room for more variety of cakes/slices/other foodbut the service is nothing to write home about. I use to got to this place every week and feel like a valued customer, now I am just a customer that pays money. Also there doesn't seem to be enough staff because the wait is often too long for what I am ordering, sometimes just a slice or some donuts.

great food to eat one of the best in the area great variety but can be noisy and crazy on market days. New look dining is ok but not quite like a country bakery any more, more city like.

It's always a highlight visiting the Jolly Miller when we pass though the Gisborne countryside or driving down just for the local markets. On our last market day visit in march the service and staff were as friendly as ever. It's always worth the wait for the mountanious vegtable pies and the 'second to none' medium latte's made by the cherfull and entertaining duo behind the coffee machine. Whilst the service, products and coffee remain of such a high standard we shall always return!

This bakery is excellent for a quick lunchtime bite for locals in the area. Visitors would love the traditional country bakery fare and the foccacias are very good with lots of variety. My work colleagues and I come here often and we're always happy with the service.
