Approximate cost: $16
Usually fairly busy so avoid rush hour- but there is alot of space.
Had orders stuffed up here a few times.
The foccacia's are really good; always fresh.
The dessert here are fantastic - apple cakes are my favourite.
Nice and clean and the staff are fairly friendly.
Great place for afternoon tea!
This bakery cafe was certainly booming with business, and I guess that's a good thing as their products must be in demand. Plenty of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy their baked goods. I agree with some of the others that the prices were a little higher but the bacon and cheese pie at $7.20 plus a can of drink was almost worth it. Very delicious indeed.
Lots of other pie choices - potato, mushroom etc.
Nice cakes, vanilla slices and shortbread.
They say they are expanding and I guess that's good. The serving staff at least did apologize for the wait.
Approximate cost: $10
Delicious food and coffee - a little pricey but yummy! Especially the mini lemon meringue! Their coffee is worth going for.
Approximate cost: $15
The prices were steeeep! But good food. Service was rushed but still good; goes to show that business is going well. Food was presented really nicely; taste was average but the overall experience was better than you'd usually expect from a cafe.
Approximate cost: $12
A great variety of food and beverages provided, however I feel that the products are not fresh daily.
Approximate cost: $6.00
Rude staff, muffins are stale, which is a shock when it is a so called bakery. Very slow service, hopefully some competition in the area may give them a shake!
This is the 1st Bakery I have tasted Orange & Poppy seed cake the way it should present and taste. It is moist and doesn't crumble when you break it apart. The fragrance is delicious and sensual to the nose and tasty to the palette.
Approximate cost: $8
Rude staff who make the coffees, one young girl in particular who is on early mornings, doesn't say a word, just holds out your coffee and glares for you to take it. I put up with it a few times, thinking everyone has their good and bad days, but now I refuse to go there after this happened for the 3rd time last week. It's not that hard to smile and say 'here's your coffee'.
Find it very hard to believe. The service that i got was awesome. Maybe you should re-consider and re-visit.
Razorr, I won't be returning to chance it. There are plenty of other places in Gisborne I can go to and get treated as a customer should be.
I did return to be fair to them but still found the same rude service by the same girl.
Young girls serving in the coffee area - dreadfully slow. A couple also need lessons in good customer service. Very rude. Not in a hurry to go back. Definitely gone down hill.
I went back again and had the same woeful service. The girl told me that she could not make me a medium coffee in my travel mug because it was a large mug! How ridiculous when the young man that works there makes it for me every week. I also went in on Wednesday to see the same girl madly banging on the bell for a customer to take their coffee from her. WAKE UP before you lose more customers. I definitely will not be back now.
