Not happy, spring rolls over cook one burnt, dipping sauce was very oily! Dips lacked flavour . Chicken burger was good enough but sadly haven’t been for a while and remember the duck spring rolls were good back then but average now. Sorry the staff were friendly

Im a regular at The Kensi and am sad to say the quality of the food has been getting worse and worse. Tonight i spent $32 on a sirloin steak to take away. When the food was ready i was shocked to see that the meal was presented in a piece of alfoil as the staff explained they had run out of take away food containers. When i got home i was extremly disappointed to see a tiny tiny piece of meat, 7cm long x 5cm and 1cm thick. It was dry and served with 2x slices of potatoe. The restaurant has been serving smaller and smaller serves but this was ridiculous. Hardly worth the 45 minute weight.
So disappointing as it was only 2years ago that the restaurant food was great, used to serve a lamb shank that was amazing and now... im sorry to say but i have been eating there 1x per week and for the last 2 years i cant recall a meal i was impressed with. Shame, but i can't justify dining the anymore.

Approximate cost: $32

Met with friends for a lunch at this nice hotel which as been nicely renovated. Spacious dining area with a good menu and a nice atmosphere. Chose the steak, salad and chips which was a great price ($20) and enjoyed both the food and our friends company. Old building, modern interior and car parking.

Had lunch here on Grand Final day and perhaps that was the problem! Staff looked like they didn't want to be there! It appears the chef was too busy watching the footy to take care with the food, so my pasta was flavourless and my friend's duck was overcooked. Service at the bar was extremely slow and inefficient. Disappointing.

The Kensi was a quick after work drink and chips for my wife and I. We enjoyed it and the wine was very good and reasonably priced. We would definitely go back to have a meal or another drink and will definitely be taking friends next time.

This old pub in an older suberb was modernised quite some time ago into a trendy place. The menu is ok but is on the expensive side for what is delivered. The staff are friendly, the presentation good but for some reason I do not find it has a welcoming feel. Most probably just me.

Went here for lunch. The menu has a lot of items you won't expect to find at a pub, such as a squid ink risotto. The meals are fairly high priced and serving sizes aren't that big unless you go for something basic like a schnitzel. It is going for the higher quality, smaller portion size type menu, but I am not sure if this fits in with a Pub, all be it an ellegant pub is an ellegant suburb. The service was friendly and down to earth, although staff members did go missing a little bit despite only being a few tables of people there. The meals were decent quality, but there isn't much of a choice, first impressions when you sit down and look at the menu isn't a good one . My partner who is vegetarian had one option (some sort of vegetarian pie), at $28.00 it was not bad tasting but very small with no sort of side with it, you could easily eat 4 of them! If you are looking for good quality everyday pub meal you won't like this place, if you are looking for a different selection of unusual foods, try something different and not looking for something to fill you up in elegant surroundings then give it a try.

Approximate cost: $29.00

Thanks for the review - I was going to give them a go but think I'll give it a miss!
