The Mad Greek

i love this place for its image of not being what you think it will be - whats inside is very different from the outside. Its location is just great - main road, easy to find. The staff are lovely and the burgers are fresh and tasty. You can feel the crispness of the salad on it and taste the quality of the meat too,

With it being on King street you can not get a better location as it is the main street of Newtown making it easy to find and convenient. Dont be decieved by the facade - stepping inside takes you to another level and the it is a unique and trendy little place with food that will see you coming back again and again.

Last time I was here everything on the menu was $10! The food was phenomenal. It always seems to be on the busy side but who cares when the servings are cheap and portions are huge? Come here for takeaway in summer and pick up and burger and Greek salad, doesn't get much better than that on the North Side of Sydney.

This is a great find. A very unique place indeed. The exterior makes you think it is a kebab takeaway or something of that nature, but when you come in, you realise it isn't. I love the flashing lights, the funky chairs and the framed Virgin Mary with Christ on the wall, and of course the Greek music. The food is fabulous, very fresh and tasty, and most importantly quite cheap. Mains are $10. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. They also do pastas, pizza and burgers and lots of Greek style dishes.
