Gorgeous, with lots of beautiful people. We are playful, I felt safe, I love working with Lottie, dropping into the body, and seeing what comes out after that. I never used to get it when Charlotte spoke about what she does, I'd ask 'it's a singing lesson isn't it?' Then I realised it is a process.. a really nice one, you have to get real before you can really sing. I feel so safe, the first class, I dont know if I actually sang, I may have just done drumming noises, I was so nervous, but slowly, class by class, the brave just came, and part of that was realising that it is more about settling into where you are today, and to see where that goes. When I heard my voice reverberating around me, it was so nice when I realised it was me, I thought about it for the rest of the week, it really made my week. This class is about being real, and showing it on the outside, not just feeling it on the inside. Lottie is a beautiful performer, she improvises on her looping pedal, adds pieces and pieces, that's been exciting and brought both laughter and tears when Lottie's performed. This class is about being seen, it's easy to be quiet and not let your voice out, but when you let your voice out, you are able to be seen, maybe that's why it was so scary for me at first. This class often starts with improvisation and play, trying ideas. The class is a bit like her shows, its unusual, because its a quite raw and very brave way she shares her heart. and in class, we get to have a turn at that, try our brave on, which is amazing. Her class is like the song Truth and Bones, by Heather Nova, its about stripping away all the layers until, until that's all that's left, those kinds of connections, and being there, that's that journey you get in The Musical Body class.

Charlotte teaches from the soul with raw talent and creativity. As someone with a tendency to intellectualise EVERYthing, working with her has helped me to make great strides in throwing caution to the wind and discovering my own creativity
