I recently met up with friends hoping for an enjoyable get together. Alas no, it was not to be. I will say the aroma coming from the kitchen was fabulous but it stopped there. Service was extremely slow which gave us time to notice just how much this place needed some attention in both updating and cleanliness, it was off putting to say the least. Our meals were nothing great, truly mislead by the delicious aroma. Meat was undercooked, yet my garlic naan was overcooked - crisp. Staff were so slow, it was so frustrating, we wished we had gone somewhere else.

This restaurant is in a welcoming old bungalow in the main street. The balcony has lovely outdoor settings. The interior has an imitate and relaxing warmth. Each table is beautifully set with a single rose (which was an excellent imitation). The menu had a $25 house special which included any curry, rice, dhaal, naan bread, raita, mango chutney and salad. This is what I ordered. It was good value but each serving was rather small. My Malaysia Penang Curry was delicious but contained a lot of vegetables (capsicum and broccoli) and little meat. However all of the flavours were very tasty. My husband ordered another special of curried prawns with gin and garlic. He said the taste was delicious and he had more prawns than he had expected. We both had mango lassis - delicious and very thick. Our desserts were beautifully presented mango kalfi.
The waitress was very helpful, friendly and efficient. The Indian music was varied from pleasant and relaxing to a more modern style which did not suit the atmosphere. Evidently they have open fires blazing in winter, but not on the night we went.
Overall a very nice place with tasty food at reasonable prices.

Approximate cost: $75

I was here the other week with a couple of friends and was greatly disappointed, very slow with our meals and drinks and the restaurant was rather unkept, in need of a good clean.

Such a different experience to our previous gathering at the Mustard Seed, so disappointing. Service was slow and unfriendly and our meals were not up to the usual standard we had been use to. Maybe a different chef on the day, but it really put us off, not sure if we are willing to try again.

Met up with friends for a christmas gathering as we wont be seeing them for New Years. This was the perfect restaurant for us as we all love indian cuisine. A very nice restaurant with friendly staff and the most delicious authentic indian cuisine. The entrees start at $9.50 each so we ordered a couple of mixced entrees at $14 each - great value for money. With so many dishes to choose from for mains we decided to share our meals and ordered a variety. If you asked me to pick a favourite, it would not be possible, all the dishes I tried were perfect, so authentic and full of flavour. The lamb vindaloo was 'hot' - perfect! My girlfriend loved the pepper chicken salad and for dessert she enjoyed the cherry pie with cream, they have many dessert options as well as kids meals at reasonable prices. the staff were great, we were impressed and are looking forward to our next visit in the new year. I can think of one word that would sum up this indian restaurant and that would be YUMMMMMMMMM!
