the staff were friendly enough, but not a whole lot of effort was made with the presentation of the salon. unused/old equipment was left on a vacant work station. There seems to be a bit of confusion when I have called up to make a booking. Having said that, this salon has JUST been taken over by a new owner so I would give it another go. Price wise they're amazing and offer vouchers for returning customers. For the price alone, I would go back.

After this business changed hands, the salon has a whole new feel! All of the staff are well presented and greet clients when you walk through the door, you are offered a hot drink, water or juice, and a cookie all complimentary whilst you have your treatments done. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet pampering session! I came out feeling classy, pretty and happy with the quality of service and that's exactly what I had paid for. Price was really good too!

Very rude staff and totally unprofessional. They could barely take their eyes off Bold & Beautiful on TV when I walked in, no courtesy whatsoever! Did not even have the decency to acknowledge me with a greeting, let alone a smile! They made me wait for ever for my appointment and then couldn't wait to get rid of me. Well they have and I definitely wont be back to this bogon operation. Bring on legislation, it's only aTafe course after all!

I have been an acrylic nails customer of this Salon for approx 3 years (prior to its current location) and have no complaints. I am greeted with a friendly greeting when I walk in and asked to take a seat. I do not expect to have the technicians leave their work benches and greet me when they are working on other customers. As a person who has now had acrylic/gel nails for over 15 years and have dealt with quite a few different types of personality in technicians I feel I am quite experienced in identifying rude / trashy nail technicians, the girls in this salon are professional, friendly and get the job done.
This salon gets busy as do other salons and at times customers do have to wait, but that is the same as with any business whether it be hairdressers, or just at the local supermarket waiting in a queue. There are times when the nails that the technicians are working on cannot be done in the time allowed and one does have to wait, however I have not had to wait any longer than 10 minutes, and it is the same with other salons.
As I am very specific on how I like my nails to look, the girls at this salon have no problem with my requests and suggestions and accept constructive criticism.
As far as the negative comments go in regards to this salon, I would suggest anyone contemplating using this salon, to give it a go and make up your own mind to the professionalism, quality and service provided. I would recommend this salon to any one who asks. Keep up the good work girls.

After several visits I decided I definitely would no longer be spending my money at The Nail Room. Each time I was unhappy with the service and my nail treatments but delayed finding a new nail salon simply because I had a lot going on in my life! Two sisters own and work the business. One in particular can be quite rude and has no problems snobbing-off paying customers. Sometimes you can wait over 20 minutes and nobody will even say hello to you in this tiny salon! The amount of waiting time here is just ridiculous. It's just unacceptable to be made to wait up to half an hour each and every time when you have an appointment. The quality of nails/treatments is very average, in fact I would say even below average at times. I have felt 'rushed out' here more than once and even been given the feeling that my business isn't valued or appreciated. Uncomfortable inferior chairs to sit (or wait) in and someone definitely smokes in their toilets. Technicians hands often cut or covered in bandaids. I've had a few cuticle cuts myself as a result of the filing being too ambitious. Ouch!
