This hospital is just as bad as maroondah hospital I recently had day surgery here and wasn't told anything at all I still don't know if my stitches are dissolvable the woman how did the anastectic told me off 7 minutes before I had to go into surgery because I'm a smoker then after surgery I was sent home only to have to be rushed back the next day long story short they sent me home and I had a blood clot in my stomach and was in hospital for 3 days and I spoke to the surgeon who was rude and told me there were no complications even though surgery went 2 hours longer than expected AND I HAD A CLOT which I only found out about when I went back to my doctor and she told me about it .. If I hadn't gone back to my doctor and she made me rush back to hospital who knows what could have happened
The service I had during my pregnancy was not at all caring. I suffered from gestational diabetes which was left untreated due to numerous doctors saying my tests were clear. I only found out when i was admitted into the maternity ward to have my baby. \The care that I received while pregnant reminded me of a cattle drive- "here is your number, now get out." That being said, the maternity ward was wonderful and the emergency department is fantastic. It's just a shame that some areas are letting down others. its clean and the ladies that deliver the food are the best part- they always have a smile and a friendly word.
You are so right they do just treat you like a number and have no compassion I found the nurses knew more than the doctors
not the best hospital but it is local which is good, staff are friendly and the doctors are good
Very nicely furnished hospital and staff are very friendly. Many new equipments. Things are explained to me clearly and no mucking around. Definitely recommended ifyou get sick
They put me on a waiting list not even 30 days they arranged a appointment for me to see a specialist which I did and now I will be having a colonoscopy next week. This hospital is excellent as they do look after their patients. The service is A graded.There are other hospitals that put you on a very long waiting list.As I said this hospital really looks after their patients.

Sorry to read about your REALLY BAD experience, agreed some hospitals arent the best, I guess its the luck of the draw! I had a friend who had a Baby at this hospital, she was very happy,staff seemed friendly enough when I went to visit, and she said she would happily go back! I suppose its not the same for everyone!
