I buy cakes from The Old Oak Patisserie every week as it is close to my office, mainly for my sweet tooth when I need a sugar hit. I always buy the mini blueberry cheesecake from them. They are so delicious and are bite-size so it's easy to eat. I don't feel guilty having a small one. When we have a colleague's birthday in the office, we always buy birthday cakes from them as well. Our favourites are the chocoloate mousse, the Swiss chocolate and hazelnut mousse and the New York cheesecake. They cakes are fresh, look beautiful and taste very nice too! The price ranges from $35-50 for a huge cake which is quite reasonable. You can also place an order in advance if you have a particular cake you like.

Fantastic place to buy Birthday cakes or celebration cakes of any kind. I love the chocolate mousse cake - the mousse is divine and it is on a lovely moist light sponge. Not the dense sort of cake that is like mud cake. It is conveniently located near Wynyard so it's easy to pick a cake up on the way home. I also love their cheesecakes - the baked New York is so rich and flavoursome, a genuinely thick and dense texture that you can savour!

These cakes are great - they are a little on the expensive side, however they are worth it! 2 different size and a great range of cakes to suit any taste from the most sickly sweet chocolate to the lightest sponge!!
