Pancakes were tasty and the service was fine. The building is an attraction in itself; lovely and a good example of older Ballarat buildings. There was an invite to a Cashback club on the table too!

rating a little low as the discount docket said all meals, this was not the case so bit deceiving also told upstairs was booked out reserved this also was false,we went up there to get away from the noise after being told downstairs was less busy again false upon inspection! the meal was nice.toilet door would not close looks like it has not for a long time and a bit run down in the area!

Approximate cost: $25

Hi Onlineseller, We too have experienced issues in relation to false advertising and recommend lodging a formal complaint. Unfortunately, it appears as though many local establishments believe that they can get away with such tactics, however they fail to realize that many customers will simply boycott them. Thank you for the heads-up! Regards, Reeces

Quite expensive. Ordered kids meal of pancakes with jam and ice cream $10.90 and asked for a little bit of chocolate sauce which we were charged an extra $4.90. Ordered to salads and they were okay until my daughter found a grub in hers. When bought to the staff members attention we were told they had been having trouble with the salad comes in pre washed. If others had complained, surely rye wash salad before serving. We were not charged for one salad but then it was not eaten anyway. Would defiantly never go back

Approximate cost: $20

Hi Juliew33, another good example of appalling service and excessive cost. Regards, Reeces

I love to go here for a treat every now and then the best bit is you can have whatever you want on you pancakes and if you don't feel like that there is steak and chicken on the menu I think it's great to take the family the kids pancakes look so cool with all that chocolate and coloured sprinkles and the price isn't bad either the staff are great and have a good giggle with you too.

Over priced for pancakes and seriously creepy rest rooms (up 6 or so flights if stairs!) the staff are great but the food was average, their savory pancakes leave a lot to be desired.
I won't be a repeat customer.

We are in full agreement with the comments mentioned here.

Savory pancakes (Crêpes)? Yes! Steak, fish, chicken! Not just the most awesome sweet dishes, but good, filling, tasty savory dishes including mexican! Prices are not too bad either. AND, if you like the pancakes sooo much you can't wait till the next visit, you can also buy bags of thier pancake mix! Staff are always friendly. Being so popular can sometimes be a problem with weighting to be served and getting your meal, but with food and service as good as this, it is worth the wait. Hey, and if you just want desert, here, but want your main somewhere else, try two doors south at the Ballarat Steakhouse. The Pancake Kitchen is in an old warehouse, so it can be a little tricky for those with mobility problems, but there is a small dining area just off the entrance and down two stairs, and for those with hollow legs, two more floors of seating! Told you they were popular.

Approximate cost: $5-$20

Had my first savoury dish at a pancake place here and it did not disappoint. A great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner (p.s. eggs, pancakes and hash browns are a killer combination!

Four of us went to the pancake kitchen for lunch, after ordering meals which my was the main on special we received all meals at different times with my arriving last and wrong as it was the entree special..We ended up paying $78 for the meals which was quite expensive with only a sorry about serving up wrong meal and me having to wait longer for food. Would have been nice to have been offered a free drink or discount on meal. Disappointing

Approximate cost: $78

Hi Traceyd7, certainly not a great manner in which to conduct business. Reeces

Yummy food and very full afterwards! Lots to choose from on the menu. Didn't have to wait too long for lunch. Wouldn't go there if on a tight budget though.

Approximate cost: $20
