Not too bad, nice fresh clean establishment. Polite, well dressed and prompt waiters. Food was at the standard expected for the price paid.

I very recently tried the Pheonix Hotel with some friends and we were all very impressed. The meal size was rather large so you don't really need an entree, but more importantly the girls were really lovely. I don't know if the Hotel employs just "beautiful looking" people, but all the girls were just genuinely attractive and very polite. It's very spacious and has a gaming/tab venue also. The meal itself was delicious and more than enough. Will definitely go again.

Approximate cost: $25.00

I have been here a few times since it has opened and the. First time I was really disappointed, they were really slow to get food and drinks out, one drink even got forgotten, really loud and awkwardly set out seating wasn't ideal to go for a meal. this was obviously kinks that needed to be ironed out in the first few months as going there as few more times it has been great. The meal deals in the pub area are fantastic value, $8 pizzas and $4 peronis on Fridays and the before footy special of $15 pot and Parma is also great. Tasty too. About time we had a great local to go to.

Approximate cost: $15

I've been excited about the opening of the Phoenix Hotel for ages..It's walking distance from where we live and has the potential to become one of our most frequented dining places. We decided to go on Saturday for lunch, and while I still think it's good, and we will be back (perhaps at a later date when it has fully opened), I was left a little disappointed.
Service wasn't great...We ended up getting our own menus, after waiting 10 minutes to see if someone would bring them to us. (As a place we hadn't been to before I wasn't 100% sure of the protocol, but I'm pretty sure we should have been given menus.)
After waiting another 10 minutes (when there was probably only about 8 groups of people in for lunch) someone took our order. Which arrived fairly quickly after that, and was enjoyable. Not exactly what I had expected, (after reading other people's recommendations on facebook I was expecting the real wow factor) but good nonetheless.
There is a very small play area for the kids, not sure how this will go on a very busy night, but was fine for us on a quiet day.
But.. as a venue goes, I think it will be absolutely amazing when it is completely finished. The fact that there is a drive-thru bottle shop; fantastic. Something Point Cook has needed for a long time.
It definitely has a lot of potential and we look forward to going back again when everything is completed and they have ironed out the initial kinks.
