Husband and I went here on a Monday night, so 2 for 1 night on Pizzas, Beers, and Buffalo Wings.

Husband was absolutely raving about the wings, with blue cheese sauce, they are exactly what you would get in the US New York/New Jersey area flavor wise, they were delicious!

For dinner we ordered a Chicken Parmigiana and a Chicken Schnitzel, both were delicious, the ham on the Parmi wasn't very palatable, and was put to the side of the plate, the Schnitzel was delicious, quality of the gravy served is always a huge factor for me and let me tell you it was lovely!

The service was nothing special, it was not bad at all, but nothing stands out.

The one grievance I have with the Sporting Globe is this, an extra $5 was lumped onto my bill for some kind of chicken that was never ordered nor eaten by either of us, by the time we had realized this we were already home and had no way of proving it, so please double check your receipt!

Approximate cost: $10

Great location, and great place to eat. If your with your mates and want a beer and food then this is a great place to go as there are tvs to watch sports. Also a great place for families as there is a separate dining area. Great service with friendly staff. Great value for money with good serving sizes. If there is a main event with sports youwill need to get their early or even book as it can get very busy.

Visited last Friday night but have been to The Sporting Globe on several occasions including birthday dinners. Love visiting The Sporting Globe both during the week and on the weekend. I go here for meals mostly. I recommend the Trainers Wrap and especially the Touchdown Chicken wrap! I love all the burgers too, esp the The Guaca mm! Great value too + most, if not all the wraps and burger come with the thick cut Fry's! The meat is always cooked to perfection and they give you enough sauce and dressings. The staff have been polite and cope well with a busy night or a large table. They have always managed to get our food out at the same time. I would recommend booking as I have dropped by with my partner for dinner a couple of times and no tables have been available. I like there nightly specials too like cheap cocktail jugs.

"The Sporting Globe" bar and restaurant is located in the heart of the Geelong CBD, just a few doors down from the offices of the "Geelong Advertiser" newspaper and directly across the street from the Village cinema complex.

"The Sporting Globe" is probably most famous for its range of pizzas. There are all types and sizes, vegetarian, meat lovers, international pizzas, all different types. I had the Aussie pizza there and it was very tasty and quite a decent size as well, good for sharing.

"The Sporting Globe" also specialises in wings.

The set-up of the place is quite unique in some ways. The bar area has a lot of stools and tables, surrounded by quite a few TVs equipped with Foxtel.

Then there are the private booths which have their own TV for customers to view personally. Those booths must be pre-booked, but are a good investment if you want to be in a more private atmosphere for a meal.

There is a public bar out the back which is a bit more outdoors, it's partially covered but partially outdoors. It has a couple of TVs running as well.

I guess you'd call "The Sporting Globe" a real sports bar/restaurant.

On Saturday nights they often have live performers, and on various nights, such as Monday nights, they have special deals such as half-price pizzas and wings.

On days where there's special sporting events, such as the NFL Super Bowl, they even have free wings during the TV broadcast of the game, so those special days are great days to get to "The Sporting Globe" and try what they have to offer.

The service is good, although if you order a meal outside of regular meal times you can expect a fair wait.

A good meal to be had here, Service is ok, they could be a little more customer focused, and the prices are too high, if you get a double parmi (2 schnitzels and some chips) they charge you for 2 complete meals, instead of just the cost of the extra schnitzel

Approximate cost: $40

We had a great experiance holding an event here, everyone was so mice and helpful. The catering was fantastic and no one had to wait long for the food.

This is your standard kind of pub meal and atmosphere. It was ok if you are going just for a quick meal as it is nothing fancy.

Pretty standard pub fare but we were all quite happy with our meals. We were given a booth in a little alcove which was separate from the main dining area but we didn't mind. The best was the little goats cheese pizza we shared to start. Delicious.

Approximate cost: $18
