I could not fault this restaurant. The atmosphere is unique and cozy. We had our own room for our group of 8. We all had different meals and no one could complain. They were tasty and large. If you would like a side of salad or veg it did cost extra but we found that the meals were large enough with the scrumptious creamy potatoes. YUMMO. Oh and not to mention they made our birthday cake (as they dont allow cakes to be brought in for health reasons) very glad we decided on them making it for us. By far the freshest and nicest cake I have had. They have a great outdoor seating area that we will definately try one day. The girls were very friendly and helpful. Overall GREAT experience! Highly recommended.

I agree this is the best restaurant in Tamworth. The food was the best I have ever tasted. We went there for dinner and the atmosphere was intimate and had a cosy feel with fires to warm you. I loved all the dinning rooms and the artwork was very interesting to see some of Tamworth's history. We had a lovely night and wished we could have stayed longer but the food pricing was a little out of our (family) budget. Would love to go there again. I will be recommending to everyone! I think next time we will get a babysitter and enjoy a romantic night out. Loved it.

We had an amazing meal last night at the Square Man. It was recommended to us by friends from Sydney. They were impressed when they ate there recently so we tried it. It certainly lived up to any expectations my husband & I had. We dont dine out much these days, but this restaurant will have us coming back again soon.

I was very impressed with the entire experience. The food was fantastic, the staff very impressive, the atmosphere a once in a lifetime. The whole dining experience is taken to new levels with this restaurant. The different dining rooms avaliable means you can have an intimate dinner, as I did, or larger party rooms.
I take my hat off to the owner Rob and to the staff who served my wife and I Sophie, Murray and Melony.
This is what Tamworth needed and I recommend it to everyone.

NEW Best restaurant in town! The total dining experience to be enjoyed. I don't know what the crazy person was thinking who complained about her 'square meal' not having vegies. She must have thought the carrot and beetroot garnish was just string.... You NEED to have 4 courses as its all part of the experience. Prices are fair because this is has GOOD a meal as you are going to taste in Tamworth. Amazing atmostphere with many different dining rooms to suit that intimate meal or a big group! ROB BREEZE has stepped it up, this aint just great pub grub- this is FINE DINING and the best night out I've had in Tamworth.

It is obvious that the people who own the Square Man Inn know their food. I believe they came from Cutters bar & Grill at the Longyard, they turned that restaurant around from being one of the worst ever to the best in country NSW. The Square Man Inn is yet another league altogether. I had for an entree some Lamb skewers with a minted yoghurt. Just delightful! For a main I ate the whole poached trout. Better than I have ever tasted. We then topped our meal off with a bomb alaska that my wife and I shared. She is still talking about it. I recommend this dining experience to anyone. Not expensive at all. Just great!

Mains are Excellent however we were disappointed that a restaurant advertising square meals did not provide vegies other than potatoes. A vegetable side is available but for an additional charge.
