We went on a friday night, around 9pm.
It was eerily quite. Apart from two very small groups at the very grand and spacious marble bar, we were the only dining table.
We were initially worried, but gave it a goal and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food is generous and well composed.
Do not know why the place has fallen out of fashion, as the wait staff seemed very nice, and the place has a really nice grand yet dimmed intimate atmosphere.

The building and its insides are quite impressive - I went there on a hot day and all that marble inside is quite cooling !

As noted elsewhere, its fairly quiet and the lounge chairs well spaced apart so if you dont feel like dining with strangers, this is a place to look at !

I didnt have any food - more a coffee stop - but all up a positive experience and one to keep in mind when at that end of the city. If this is possible, its almost tucked away.

The place is a very nicely decorated. Looks very fancy, strange that I decided to come here for breakfast. I had time on a Sunday morning so came here for breakfast/brunch.

I just had the bruschetta. This was very nice. The bread was crisp without being too crunchy and crumbling all over the place. The topping was just saucy enough without dripping everywhere! I ordered seconds! :)

It is a bit on the pricey side but I decided to spoil myself since I was down in Melbourne for a trip anyway.

It was very quiet which is how I like it in the mornings. I can't deal with too much noise and the service was a bit absent but that made things just perfect for me. Don't want to have to talk too much so early in the morning! Good Job guys! Great how you can really read the customers. :)
