Fantastic service and a wonderful selection of milkshake flavours. I had a really good eggs Benedict. Great fish and chips, excellent customer service would recommend.

Good coffee and extremely friendly staff! There are couches available for seating, which is pretty much thr ultimate way to enjoy any meal or snack.

Nice place to go for something different. Definitely aimed at people into arts. Although the meals are pricey, I do love the milk shakes that include flavours from chocolate to lavender!

The "special" of the day a bit pricey. Meat wasn't cooked, sent it back, came back the same, so I didn't eat it. Waste of money for what I got. Won't be going back. Although the soup of the day was nice. Not a place for children or even teenagers.

I like this place as the atmosphere is great. The staff are also friendly but there are some things that need addressing. We met friends here for a catch up lunch. Once seated we were given glasses but no water arrived until we asked about it. Then when we ordered we were told that a few things were not available which is fair enough. We ordered items that were still available on the menu, but then about ten minutes later they came back and advised that in fact some of things we had ordered were also not available. Three of the four of us had to change our order because of this which was annoying. Then the food was brought out (quickly which was great) but with no cutlery. We had to ask for this as well.

These are each smallish complaints but put together unfortunately it detracted from the experience. Luckily we had great company so it was still a very enjoyable meal. (Also the food itself was great, and the coffee here is one of the best anywhere so no complaints with that side if things.)

I went there a couple of weeks ago with a group of 22 to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, we only booked for 20 and there was no room to extend the table. The extra 2 had to sit at a near table. They were happy to keep our cake in the kitchen. They took the orders a batch at a time so as not to overwhelm the kitchen which sounded good. After a wait some of us went up to the counter to order and pay. I was impressed that they were willing to make iced tea but I thought the glass was too small. The food was good. The first person served was finished before the last person was served. This is about par for the course. Very few restaurants can serve a group of 20 or more with hot food at the same time. We were all happy with the food and the service and may very well go back again as a group.

Firstly, i think the atmosphere at the Unicorn is awesome! The customer service is amazing as are the people who work there, their food is great and very reasonable prices... i have actually gone allll the way across town just to have my tea or coffee there, loveeee the old vinyl records they play there as well, i often go there just to relax and enjoy the atmosphere whilst reading a book, doing some work, writing etc Can't speak more highly of the place :) Ohhh they also make an awesome fresh juice!! love it!

The Unicorn Ballarat is a fantastic new cafe/restaurant that has recently opened in the renovated Unicorn Hotel. Its a great place for a coffee or lunch and the entire team provide a great service. Great coffee, great food and they let you throw an old vinyl record on the record player. Highly recommended
