Very good prices for city accomadation.. Not the most glitzy place but not too bad either..Staff are most accomadating & willing to assist..

Good location and ideal for an affordable place to sleep in the CBD. Rooms small but clean and probably what you'd expect for the low price.

As for the other reviewer, UPGRADE to a more expensive room, it's not rocket science, you get what you pay for!!
The Victoria Hotel is a fantastic place to stay, they have 3 types of accommodation, a section for the 'backpacker' types (smoking), a section for family types with reasonable rates, and then the 5 star rooms, it is a huge hotel, near 500 rooms, all the rates are quite reasonable compared with elsewhere, the location is to die for, and the old world charm is fascinating. I have stayed here several times, then I had a change to the Grand Hyatt, but next month I will defiantly go back to the Victoria !!

The Victoria is an old hotel. The hallsways smell of cigarettes and the carpet (in the hallway) is old grungy but I was very happy with it and would go again. The rooms (although being old) were very clean and of decent size.

The beds were comfortable and there was a TV and an aircon. Although it was not so nice in the hallway there is nothing wrong with the rooms. Also the location is unbeatable!!! We were walking distance to everything. Also just across the road there is a 24 hour cafe which did quite nice hot chocolates which came in very handy. Also it is so cheap. I think we may have got a special, but we had a room that slept three people for just $100.00 per night. I was very happy to pay such little money for a room that was as comfortable as it was.

Would recommend to anyone that trying to save money but still wants a great location with a clean and comfortable room. Would not recommend to anyone that wants a piece of luxury.
