Tucked away off the main road in Mount Barker, this family run café remains a bit of hidden gem.
We had a voucher from "Living Social", that gave us 2 main meals and 2 coffee's, for $18. Great Value!
We live in Adelaide, so it was a lovely 45 minute drive into the hills

We both chose the Chicken Schnitzel with chips, salad and mushroom gravy. Very nicely cooked and presented.
The service was very friendly too.

Apparently they do catering, so they are not open all the time. Would pay to phone and check if you have a long journey to get there.

My girlfriend had a shop a docket, purchase one main meal get the second half price. We both decided to try the schnitzel with chips and gravy, was very tasty and a decent serving. A fairly quiet cafe with very friendly staff and we did notice quite a few cakes on offer which my girlfriend could not resist.

A nice quiet spacious cafe with tasty food and friendly service.

We had some friends visiting and wanted a coffee and light lunch whilst we were out together. This cafe wasn't tooo busy so we gave them a try. The staff were so down to earth and friendly, it certainly made it a nice lunch. Schnitzel seemed to be the go for most of us, nicely cooked and presented, very enjoyable. They have comfortable seating both in and outside, Will be returning

Recently had lunch here with my friend after doing a bit of shopping. I really like this cafe is you can almost always find a quiet table inside or sit outside for a bit of fresh air or sunshine. A very friendly atmosphere with service to match. We both ordered the chicken schnitzel, chips and salad, tasted very nice and was a very reasonable serving. They also do a great coffee and cake.

Nice quiet cafe with a friendly atmosphere. I enjoy going here after doing some shopping and then sitting for a nice coffee and delicious vanilla slice. I haven't had a meal here, but they do look appetising. Always a lot of people eating here and having coffees. I have noticed a lot of elderly people - they do have seniors days with 10% off. (of course I do not qualify for that!!!!) Plenty of seating inside and out. Have always enjoyed my coffee and piece of cake and will return.

Approximate cost: $14

I ordered the Seafood Platter special at $15 and my partner ordered the Nachos. It took a long time for our meals to arrive despite very few customers in the cafe. When our meals finally arrived, my Seafood Platter had a tiny amount of chips hiding under the seafood pieces. It was a smaller amount than I would normally expect for a kids meal!!! When I complained about the lack of chips, I was given a tiny handful more on another plate without any apology or acknowledgment that I had been short-changed. My partner's Nachos tasted like they had been made with stale corn chips that weren't very crunchy at all. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience leaving us feeling ripped off. Won't be returning!

Approximate cost: $12-15
