Nice place for a casual pub meal, especially in the warmer weather when you can sit outside. We had burgers, fries and onion rings and it was a decent meal. Served hot and fresh and generous portions. Tasty.

excellent service from staff, food not too pricey (given it's massive servings) and overall not bad

location's great, overlooking the yarra and on the not too busy side

more of a fancy pub, went on a friday night and it wasn't too packed

they had a live band playing which was a great touch as well

i ordered the cheeseburger and it was okay, would have loved tomato sauce for the chips and the onion rings were a bit soggy

will definitely be back though

While visiting Melbourne, we decided to have dinner here. The outdoor dining area was fantastic, with a lovely view of the river and outdoor heaters for warmth. The meals were a bit pricey, but we thought that's what you pay for such a nice location. We arrived and seated ourselves outside, went in and ordered our meals and drinks and sat happily socialising while we waited. The bartender made me a beautiful cocktail, when I couldn't decide what to order, it tasted amazing! The meals were not very flavoursome and my chicken parmi was quite dry. Halfway through eating our meals, we were told we would have to move as soon as we had finished as there was a private function taking up the outdoor dining area...we felt it was a bit rude and we were rushed to finish our meals. There were numerous occasions we could have been warned of this prior to getting our meals, but were not.
This marred our dining experience at this restaurant and our night out. Better customer service would be advantageous.

Amazing I've been there twice now and have never been disappointed with her business! They are very polite and formal and have excellent security as well as views from outside! The bar stuff know there stuff and are never afraid to make you a "surprise cocktail" if you ask!

Just started working around here and have been down here for a few lunches and after work drinks. Great spot on a summers day as they have a big outdoor space with heaps of seating. The meals were your typical pub meals which are great and the range of beers is great. I have heard and one review says it also that a sunday here is fantastic which i hope to do soon. Not the best spot as its away from the main drag but works sometimes and it has a great spot beside the river.

Location & atmosphere are the two aspects affecting the performance of this venue. At busy times, it attracts a very rowdy, due to its location in the city. At non peak times, it is empty and lifeless. The location is admittedly very inconvenient, located on the wrong side of South wharf.... I think it obtains most of its patrons from the WTC offices.
In terms of food & service. Passable, nothing special or particularly worth mentioning.

We found this place thanks to Cudo and are SO happy that we did. The staff were so friendly, the food was really good (you MUST try their pork belly) and my husband was very happy with the range of beers!
As another review says, the vibe here was really good, and once you find the place the location is great! (right on the Yarra).
The cocktails are a little pricey but hey, treat yourself!
I would definitely eat here again and after leaving and heading out to drink elsewhere, we wished we had of just stayed and continued our night there instead of just having dinner and a few drinks.

We were looking for a place to have 15-20 people for a private dinner and stumbled across the newly opened Wharf Hotel, we had a couple of International guests and the venue was perfect, they have a private room like a library for up to 20 people, we had our own special waiter who was great, the 3 tasting plates we ordered to start off were amazing, not the usually anti-pasto type stuff, there was a good choice of main courses and everyone in our room enjoyed them. Will definately do something there again.

i totally agree with this review. A friend and i went down to the Wharf on Sunday. I dont know if this is regular thing, but the vibe was amazing.. We came in for breakfast, which was well cooked and good value. The day was so nice, we decided to stay for lunch. As we wer ordering our second round of cocktails, an acoustic guitar player was setting up outside. As we recieved our meals (which were definitely a step up from normal pub fair) the muso started play6ing fantastic music. The crowd lifted and the vibe was as good as anywhere i have been on a Sunday in Melbourne. This could be the start of something great in the city. Great service, tasty meals, and a great backdrop makes this one of the best new finds in the city.. well done
