I'm a newbie here but knew how good Ambika was from taking her class at another studio. not only are the teachers friendly but also other students which was very different to some other places I've been. good location too

I started out at The Yoga Social in December 2015, and from the moment I walked in the door I felt like part of this gorgeous little community made up of all the beautiful souls that teach and practice there! The space is amazing, such talented and knowledgeable teachers on all things yoga...plus they make a mean pot of tea! I have also learnt so much since starting my yoga practice at The Yoga Social, not just about yoga but also about myself. If you're looking for the best studio in Melbourne, here it is!

All the teachers at this studio are so supportive and full of energy! They push you to your full potential and give you as much or little guidance as you need! I feel like I'm part of a big family at the yoga social

Great location, convenient timetable and free tea! Unlike some of the other studios in the CBD, this one is in a quiet spot so you feel like you are taking a proper break. Love the variety of yoga classes too.

Visiting Melbourne fom UK for a week, dropped by twice for an excellent all round exuberant experience. Most definitely recommend. 10/10.

Just happened I came across their deals on Groupon. so I wasn't expecting much. Once I started my yoga class with them, it was superb. The place is neat and calm. and the tea they provided was warm and nice, just great after yoga class. Ambika and Karen are great teachers and sometimes they have assistant teachers, which are really good and helpful too! The teachers will start their class by asking if you have any injury and if there is a need, they will modify the post so you can still enjoy yoga and not stop because of injury. I think this is amazing! There is nothing not to like about Yoga Social! Give it a try!

Very friendly, which was important because I didn't feel like I knew what I was doing. I really enjoyed it though and loved the tea afterwards!

I have been to several yoga classes in India and across other parts of the world, but the yoga social is undoubtedly the best. The style of teaching here is very gentle yet challenging. Amazing is an understatement.

Great for beginners, the yoga social has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Quite a new studio, there are great intro deals to be had. Check their site for details. The operation is professional and personable. The staff take an interest in your practice. The set up is more casual than other inner city studios and I like this about them. There are no flashy gimmicks and the furniture consists of crates and a well loved couch. This studio is all about people and practice. The class sizes are manageable and seem to appeal to guys as well as women.

Me and my wife start yoga at the Yoga Social after I gave her a Groupon voucher(unlimited yoga for a month) for her. From day 1, we loved the professionalism & knowledge of all the staff involved. The facilities are clean & the easily accessed. For first timers, understanding the registration process can be a bit overwhelming but once you are registered, everything is online & very easy.

We have recently joined them back for another month & looking forward to working with some of the best.

This is the best yoga studio I've ever been to. They have a good variety of classes and instructors and I always feel refreshed and energized when I leave. They are not pretentious at all, which I find can be a problem with some studios. Very welcoming and homey.

An absolute haven in the inner city! A wide variety of yoga classes - align, flow, power, yin and ballet sculpt which includes some pilates. All of the instructors are very experienced and open to questions and discussions after class. And the free tea is amazing!

ambika always listens to her students ensuring everyone feels that they get something out of the class/session. she understands the human body, what needs to move and her specificity for specific movement patterns and what we need to do in order to progress to something truly amazing is truly wonderful....ambika will never put any judgement on ones yoga practice and her humour is contagious. one always feels challenged as well as enlightened after a session at the yoga social

Ambika provides a wonderful experience at The Yoga Social. You can always ask her any questions at the end of class and she will give her best advice. She really looks after her committed students. Most importantly she brings a traditional element into her classes. I love when we hear the Sanskrit words for the asanas and when we have beautiful Indian music playing, it brings so much more meaning to our classes.
