My granddaughter did not enjoy the class and I felt the teacher did not engage with the children.
I cancelled by email thinking it was well outside the months notice that was required and received a response the email address was incorrect. I resubmitted an email to the correct address and was advised it was not received. I then sent an email via the website. during this time I had contacted by phone numerous times and was advised I could not cancel by phone and required to submit in writing by email.
The company preceded to deduct my credit card $195.
I contacted fair trading to no avail and was advised to proceed lodging a complaint to the tribunal, costing me $50. I am still considering if I should pay a further $50 on principle when the company are still denying receiving my emails although I have sent copies of the emails I previously sent.
I found them to be rude when dealing with the issue. I wish I had read the reviews on line that also have had this same experience.

The Companies Customer Service is non existent.
There recital packages are a rort.
The good teachers are always absent and the others are young, scruffy looking and are useless at teaching small children.

[redacted inflammatory comment] who 'comply with fair trading principles' which is an absolutely horrendous way to conduct business. They cancelled classes and then offered a make up class to cover that class.
So if your 'ballerina' misses another class that term (and let's face it - toddlers get sick, most parents have other children, etc... It's going to happen!) say goodbye to your money. It's appalling. They then sting us for cancellation fees which must be now their only form of revenue.... Do not go near this business and find a reputable little ballet school for your girls !

Beware before joining up and do not be fooled by the marketing on their website. The fact that they do direct debit for the entire year, they will keep taking your money even if you do cancel for the next term. We tried the Chatswood class and had two class cancellations in one term and four different teachers. The classes were usually a mess, the preschoolers scared or not engaged, and the 'mummies' got the blame. For example, the last teacher said, "this is totally unacceptable Mummies." Teacher totally not interested in taking the class, just going through the motions, and no idea how to teach pre-schoolers or work with pre-schoolers. To top it all off when I cancelled my daughter's registration for these reasons two weeks prior to the new term starting, they still charged me for the entire new term plus a 20 dollar administration fee.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY DISGRACFUL COMPANY!!!! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM!!!
My daughter did not enjoy the class so I cancelled under the two class guarantee in order to get my refund of the term fees $195, although I cancelled before the third class they refused my refund because I didn't give two days notice before the 3rd class... WHAT A JOKE!!! I
paid for the recital package $110 and they took $80 administration fees and the preceded to deduct my credit card an extra $30, which I DID NOT AUTHORISE when they should of refunded me the $30!! They will not take my calls and have not yet given my $30 refund and the $30 they deducted without my authority. They are RUDE to deal with an only care about taking all the money they can from you, I wish I had read the reviews on line that also have had this same experience. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Contact your bank and get them to block their automatic deductions otherwise they could keep stinging you for term fees the rest of the year.

To prevent money being automatically deducted from your account just contact your bank and get them to block TT's deductions. My friend did that when she tried to leave TT but they wouldn't let her - it worked for her!

[redacted] My husband and I also can not afford the next term so I emailed to say we would no longer be attending and to please cancel our next direct debit of $195. Admin emailed back to say we could cancel but will still be charged a full term PLUS a $20 cancellation fee as we did not see out the whole year!!! Their T&C's say you must cancel 4 weeks prior to the next term but how can some people possibly see 1 month prior that their child will not be returning next term due to them either being too upset and not enjoying the class or because of financial hardship!

The also "REQUIRE" you to purchase all the Tiny Tutu's branded merchandise to dance in which costs $100+ and on top of that have a $50 registration fee!

I am so disgusted in this company and do not recommend them to anyone.

You don't have to buy all the TT branded merchandise - just the tutu which is part of your $50 registration that you have to pay anyway. Everything else (shoes, tights, crossover etc) I buy from much more affordable ballet outlets. I agree that they zing you for lots of 'extras' though - registration/tutu fee, cancellation fee, recital fees etc. However, dancing in the recital isn't compulsory.

Again they don't state that you don't have to buy the uniform. They are a disgrace of a company and only in it for the money. They are also completely rude and don't even reply to emails. My daughter hated the classes and was never shown encouragement. They must treat their teachers the same way they treat their customers. Disgusting...

We love tiny tutus! I have 2, soon to be 3 little girls that have attended classes here. They have all loved it! The teachers have been fabulous. We are able to do make up lessons if we miss a class. The classes are structured (which helps the children learn routine) but the teachers have catered to the individual needs of all of my girls. They have developed confidence and can't wait to attend each week. The end of year recital is relatively inexpensive in comparison to a lot of dance schools. The performances and costumes are beautiful and I like how the classes and recital are all very age appropriate. Classes have been cancelled (maybe 2 in a 3 year period?) when a teacher has been sick. I would much rather this than spreading germs. We were offered a choice of make up classes. We couldn't be happier! Everyone is always very friendly and will go above and beyond to help if required. I highly recommend this company.

A COMPLETELY UNETHICAL COMPANY

Would not allow us to cancel within the two lesson timeline of their terms and conditions because our daughter had already enrolled the previous year. Changed the teacher on us and classes were a mess. Far more expensive than other ballet classes and they tried to hit us up for everything - each ticket to your own kid's concert are $40, there is a special outfit and accessories you have to buy just for each concert ($hundreds) on top of a $50 per year registration fee and then the $190 per term fee. Also charged us a $20 cancellation fee on top of the term fees. Don't let the cuteness of it all fool you.

After trying to negotiate a better outcome Consumer Protection advised them to refund but they still wouldn't budge. Now considering Magistrate's Court. If others have had similar experience please post here.

I have to say I completely agree with this review. "A COMPLETELY UNETHICAL COMPANY" I registered my daughter to their program simply because they market themselves so well. Yet once we were in the program, I immediately knew it's not as good as they promote themselves. Simply because I too come from a musical background and can pick it up very easily. However, as my daughter absolutely loved ballet we stayed on. Credits to the teacher they are lovely, my little one attends many other programs and by far this is the worst company I have dealt with. Due to the nature of my husband work, we have to move and when I called to confirm and that i wish to withdraw her before the term starts. I was told they dont refund here, it's their policy. If anything, we can just do make up classes with the $ that they've taken out 2 wks prior to the term. This is frustrating as 2 weeks before they took the $ we didn't know we had to move. Now that we we know we have to move due to hubbys work, i am told theres nothing they can do! and that I just have to go to do make up classes at a centre near my new location!! Fact is, I dont want my daughter to continue with this company as I wish to move her to another school where they concentrate on each child and actually teach than just 30 mins of unstructured teaching. not only do I now have to fork out another $ for another semeter at a new school which has better credential and teaching program, I have to go find a centre near my new place to take my little one for the full term of make up class, simply because they don't refund! Worst company ever. I would not recommend this company at all. Coming from someone who spends over 20 yrs in the music/theatre industry, there are many better companies out there who are more reasonable in price for the little one and better credentials and teaching program. This place has the money to market well, yet the dont use that to input into their teaching nor their policy! Good luck to the member above, hope you can sort out your stuff with them.

We haven't had time to pursue Magistrate's Court as an option yet (we have two years to consider it). But after seeing so many similar complaints here I contacted Consumer Protection again and linked them to this site. They will be investigating again and have encouraged anyone with complaints to contact their state Consumer Protection agency (I wouldn't take no for an answer as there is clearly a legitimate problem here). I'd also suggest letting them know there are complaints lodged with other states agencies so they might be able to coordinate. They also recommended Facebook as another place to provide complaints and to spread the word - the more complaints they receive the more they have grounds to take action.

Our daughter's class has been cancelled at the very last minute.
Didn't give us any options for the make up class.
Very poor customer service
Rather then helping us to find a suitable make up class the staff just keep saying base on the "term and condition" we are right.
Definitely avoid this business.
