My sister and I frequent this sushi train restaurant. The food is always very fresh and if you can't find what you want on the train you can order from the menu. Prices are reasonable and they have a loyalty program. Main disadvantage is parking in the area but you can expect that from paddington.

..don't know why somebody didn't put a sushi restaurant on Oxford Street years ago. Lovely fresh produce, some interesting dishes, good marketing trying to get customers to "beat the record" of number of dishes eaten. Bit too $$ to do too regularly however.

This is a japanese restaurant on Oxford Street - just down from the Paddington Inn. It's set up as a sushi train, which initially turned me off going there as I thought it was a gimmicky. But, the food is great, and it's a lovely cosy restaurant. You can order lots of hot food too that isn't on the train. Has nice japanese beer, sake and some wine.
