I've had a pedicure at French Pink's Albert Park salon and thought it was lovely. It's a really nice set up, very clean, and the staff are great and not rushed, so it was a very relaxing experience.

This is a nice cafe and shop for baby and kids presents, but the best part is that it is huge and has a big indoor play equipment area for kids. So, it is great for meeting friends for a coffee (food is pretty good) and letting little ones roam around.

I've bought some modern cloth nappies through Nurture Nappies recently. I think their website is very informative, and they were also really helpful when I rang with questions as I had never bough cloth nappies before. The only downside was the delivery time - I ordered some colours which were out of stock, and it wasn't explained to me quite how long the wait would be. I rang up a couple of times to check and once I knew that colours were the hold up, I was happy to just switch to a colour they already had in stock and it was then sent straight to me. The communication over this could have been better. Otherwise they are great though, and the delivery came with some very sensible suggestions and tips on washing etc - perfect for a first timer.

This review is for The Village Toy Store, Albert Park VIC

This toy store stocks really beautiful things, so it is a great place to go to buy a present. The owners are very knowledgeable and help select age-appropriate toys. It's not cheap, but the toys are quality, and they have lots of little things as well. Definitely worth checking out to find something a bit original.

I would recommend this place for waxing. It is big, clean and professional. You can book online too.

This review is for Preggi Bellies

Preggibellies run classes for pregnant and post-natal women. I have been to lots of their classes in Sydney and Melbourne. The classes can be great, though the experience really turns on your instructor. A couple of instructors I had were a bit too low key for me and I didnt' get enough of a work out, but most instructors are really good. They have heaps of locations so it's pretty easy to find a time and location that suits, and an instructor that suits too. Value seems pretty decent. Don't have to bring anything apart from water. The website and their office staff make it easy to book and cancel classes.

I had a nice serving here recently, but I was confused - it's called gelato, but they seemed to really just have ice cream on offer. It was nice, but not what I expected. How can you not have lemon gelato?! Serving size was generous.

Jock's Icecream is delicious. It is worlds away from mass produced ice cream - very yum and fresh.

The food here is outstanding. The best Vietnamese I've had. Definitely the only place I'd go back to in Victoria St.

We had a great lunch here recently - the venue is very kid friendly as it opens up onto a grass lawn and is on the lake, but unlike lots of kiddie cafes, the food is fantastic. The menu is diverse - lots of salads, burgers etc, but also delicious dumplings. It's pretty busy, but we got a table ok. You can only book after 1.30pm.
