An up date on my Tolvanen accoustic 2011 cutaway Lefty, proudly handmade by Timo the Magician Tolvanen, it"s still as good now, most probly matured more, as when it first strummed like a prize whistling Canary, If you are looking for stand out tones and ease of playabillity then I highly recommend asking for a test pluck on one of Timo's pieces of work. Timo is top bloke. I'd strongly recommend him for any set up or repair services. My J-45 now plays like butter. Anyone could set up electric guitars but for Acoustic or Classical is different story. Setting one up properly is truly an art...and what an art he has accomplished. The original set up from Gibson Customshop was a joke!

The fee was more than reasonable but please do not expect to pay peanuts for top jobs. I'll definitely go back.

I came across Tim Tolvenan via eBay a few years ago where he was selling his guitars. After checking him out and seeing his work I placed an order, making minor alterations to some options.

To date this guitar is one of my favourites in my collection and others who have used it acknowledge its quality is exceptional.
