I spoke to Geoff who was prompt in quotation, comparing other quotes Geoff wasn’t the cheapest, what we liked is the quality of material he was using specially the steel post which was 700mm in ground filled with Concert and his approach to the the customer was brilliant
The remove and install was planes and executed promptly and we are very happy with what we got

After much research ,checking and obtaining many quotes I have just had my side fence erected by the very efficient and professional team from TopClass Fencing and Gates...the whole process of demolition followed by my new fence was done with minimal fuss, quiet professionalism and absolutely no mess.

We were so pleased with the quality of our front picket fence from Top Class Fencing, that we decided to replace our side paling fence as well. The company were great to deal with and very professional and we would highly recommend them.

Booked a quote. It was rescheduled an hour before they were supposed to turn up. Rescheduled to another day and then spent time discussing job. Now they haven't even sent the quote.
What a waste of time!

6 Fence posts rotted to the ground in approx 5 yrs. I think a fence should have a longer life span than this.... very disappointed.

Top Class Fencing and Gates - Thank you for your response – when I rang your company about this problem I was told that 1 in 80,000 posts rot – we have 6 of them so far.

We do not have excess water problems, termites/borers and there is a complete lack of any signs of concrete around the posts.

Our other paling fence is twice as old and it is perfect. It has not shown any signs of damage or deterioration - so it would appear that this is not a soil problem.

This fence blew in the wind and we were terrified that it would fall on us and cause serious injury. We have since had the fence stabalised and repaired to prevent any such problems.

Your company quote to remedy the problem was substantially higher than any other.

From initial dealings to completion of the job, these guys were brilliant in their communication, they did what they said they would do. I know, sounds crazy, but I contacted 3 other fencers and their customer service was woeful, not this company though, I cant fault them. I was in a bind, as I was building a house and needed a fence installed prior to the retaining wall being installed. Due to it being Easter (Mar 16), they were very busy, so they advised the fence could be installed week commencing 4 April (retaining wall ended up being installed 5 April). However, much to my surprise (and relief), it was installed one week early. I think they were a little pricey, however, their service, attention to detail and desire to meet my needs was worth paying extra for (Also, they are in Mentone and I am near Glen Waverley, so a bit of travel required). They installed two sections of paling fence, 2metres high and just over 9 metres in length, attached to an existing fence and garage at the other end. I have been very impressed with the ease of use in dealing with this company and if you want a fencer that will quote promptly, provide a top quality (or class) job within a time period you are happy with, then this company is one I recommend.

stay away from this company, they promised my paling fence will be done in 3 days, and its 8 days now, they only setup the posts of the fence and thats all they did. I call them today morning and the reason for the delay is becos the fencer got sick. its sounds reasonable but they have few fencers that work for them, if one got sick then they should send another one to continue the job, not just wait for that fencer to recover.

Top Class Fencing installed our front fence with automatic gate, plus side fences/gates dividing the front yard from back. These were all horizontal merbau slats with cypresss pine posts. They quoted promptly and cost was on par or lower than other quotes we received. We chose them as they had previously installed a side border pine fence for us and had done a good job. We had to wait over a month for work to commence as they were booked up with jobs. Our installer was courteous, tidy, worked very quickly, was obviously experienced and paid particular attention to getting levels right with all slats and posts lining up perfectly. The automatic gate is great, quiet and smooth. Overall, I was impressed - a quality installation. We've had many compliments on the fence by passers by since.

We had a fence replaced recently by this guy. He was the cheapest of three quotes so maybe we got what we deserved, but he didn't cut the top of the fench straight, so you can see the height changes by 10-15cm along its length. The wood is also warping really quickly, but our neighbour (with more experience of these things) says that is normal and we just need to paint it.
