Flake tasty and big but a little thin.

We went here for some lunch. We found the chips to be lovely and cruchy but our flake was soggy and my husbands said he wasn't that impressed with the hamburger. It was dearer then other take away shops. The shop was clean and tidy and staff lovely. I some what recommend.

Great food, it's always packed, especially in summer with tourists. the souvlakis were ok, the fish was perfect and delicious.

*Edit* Went back a couple of days ago, Souvlaki's tasted disgusting (lamb tasted like it had been soaked in cayenne pepper) and paid $5.00 for a piece of flake fish, it was literally about 15cm in length and was mostly batter.

Excellent fish & chips.Fresh, service was great & good quality, fresh fish. Usually go in holiday season, so it can get busy in evenings, but well worth the wait !

Good customer service and a great product. not sure how fresh the fish is.... but hey! I'm not complaining.... Lol... off course, sometimes in summer is really busy and might be a wide before you get your meal... but this is like any popular fish and chip shop in the world!!

Torquay fish & chips on Gilbert st has been a popular venue due to its' location off the esplanade.

The service is as expected of a standard fish & chippery, where you can place your order then go for a walk to wait out the time. I have found this place to be slipping in quality over the past year which is disappointing to see as they have previously been quite good.

The fish now appears generally small and the presentation of either the grilled or battered leaves you feeling like you might have to go for a jog later.
