Very old 1960 gas furnace has been cutting off and not working at times. I rang AGL as I had a voucher from them. AGL would not assist/refused to send their tradesman because I could not tell them the brand of the heater - the label has long been lost. They said it's probably too old to fix. A man from Total Gas Care stripped, cleaned and unblocked appliance and it's working like brand new, it was blocked up etc. He pointed out that now the flame is blue which means clean burning - less fumes etc. Such a pleasant surprise after AGL was hinting I'll have to buy a new heater.
