Located right at the entrance to Woolworths, Town Centre News has something that most other retail stores lack - cheery staff. I quite often pop in to purchase my weekly gambling splurge of a $1 or $2 scratchy, and am always astounded at how friendly the staff are. The scratchy is always handed over with a smile and the seemingly genuine comment of "good luck with that!".

The store is large, well appointed and airy. Together with all the stationary requirements that one would expect to find at a newsagents, they also sell an array of gifts including a sizeable quantity of teddy bears.

Perhaps what I like best about the store, however, is the Guide Dogs for the Blind money box at the counter. On the dog money box is a handwritten label saying "My name is Karma". How could you resist donating your small change?
