Best/oldest/most prestiguous university in Australia. Has a great number of old classic buildings reminiscent of the great colleges in the united states. At the moment it is the same price as institutions like UWS, but for your career it will be worth a fortune more. The only other institution to consider in sydney is UNSW, other than that Macquarie is just a money making machine with mostly foreign students, UTS used to be a tafe, and UWS is just awful.

I'm currently a student here and it's great. Easy to get to by public transport (a short walk from Redfern Station), not impossible to park for if you drive by car. The staff in our faculty are great and are responsive to student feedback. The food around the university is superb and if I have some free time some friends and I chill in Victoria Park nearby. It's also close to many cheap eats in Newtown that won't disappoint.

One of the best, if not the best, university in Sydney. A wide range of degrees are offered but Sydney is renowned for education in the arts, business, medicine and science.

Approximate cost: $2500

Location is quite inconvenient when compared to institutions such as Macquarie University, however it does have exceptional student services. Some lecture rooms and tutorial rooms utilize old and distasteful buildings, nevertheless most of the teachers are decent. the student culture there is probably not as closely knit as with other universities, possibly owing to the fact that the cultural variety is much greater.

Approximate cost: $2000

Sydney Uni, is easily the most convenient Uni to get to in sydney. Central station is just round the corner as is redfern, and almost every train line goes straight through these stations. Buses also run through that part of the city every few minutes all day/night. The architecture and buildings are classic and some of the great old buildings in the nation, UTS is just a giant brown tower. The culture is best at sydney, unlike Macquarie where no-one speaks english.
